2 things in that. they were at home and in a weird irony, hank poteat an ex-patriot was involved . Wonder why no one else in these media networks found this.

This is brilliant. As Reiss notes, it allows BB to say two things: 1) See? We got screwed, it's bull****. But also 2) See, look at all these plays the Browns left on the field in the 59:52 leading up to that. Addresses the whole thing in one shrewd exercise. Love it.

Regardless of the non-call, like BB stated, time to move on:

We still control our destiny. Team should come out to play every single play. If we leave it to the end variance can bite us in the ass

I still believe. I'll see the believers on feb 2 in NYC

I agree that the players and coaches need to move on, and they did just that as soon as the game was over, as indicated by their post game pressers: no whining, no protesting, no histrionics, just stoic professionalism.

But as fans we are free to btch and moan all we want. Hopefully more media gets wind of this and my absolute best case dream scenario would be Blandino gets fired for being unfit to perform the duties of his position. I know that won't happen, so I think a more realistic goal would be for his reputation to take a hit for being a lying toolbag.

Lions' roaring comeback - NFL Videos

How long before these videos mysteriously vanish from nfl.com's website?

every single vid and clip of the Sean O'Hara hold with his arm around Seymour';s neck and him wrenching Seymour away from Eli Manning , every single clip on you tube has been pulled. The citation is "property of the NFL". Try to finding it at NFLN...heh. Goodell had it pulled, just like these Patriot clips will all eventually be hunted down and pulled.

Another note I think BB was trying to pass on to the team.....

The importance of home field. If Monday game was at Gillette, does anyone think they pick the flag up? Trying to pass that !message to his players. Pretty much saying, let's lock up homefield.

On the radio they were talking about a study that took place regarding these type of calls, and they found that the home team was usually favored in similar situations...

It was a BS call Sunday night and nothing has been shown to show otherwise..

The lesson of the showing was that going forward, the Pats have to put teams away early so that the refs, and whoever is paying them, can't influence the outcome of the game.

of course florio spins it to a 2010 game which he didnt show

Belichick shows team 2009 play (but not 2010 play) | ProFootballTalk

The ball was underthrown, and Patriots defensive back Devin McCourty had his hands on Gar?on, keeping him from getting back to the ball.

Meanwhile, Patriots defensive back James Sanders sprang up at the nine and intercepted it.

There was no flag. No Manning face. No “F” bombs dropped on the referee as he ran off the field. No controversy. No anything. The ball was picked off by Sanders, making it not catchable by Gar?on.
manning is a saint :bricks:

Here is a link to that play. There are some very clear differences between the two plays.

  • Garcon doesn't look back and try to come back to the ball until the ball is about to hit Sanders in the hands where Garcon is a good 5 yards down the field.
  • Kuckley initiated contact well before the ball was even close to be intercepted. I think it was before the ball was thrown. You can actually argue McCourty's contact was simulataneous with the INT.

BTW, Florio! There is clearly Manning face going on.

That is exactly why I think BB showed it to the team. If you don't take care of business during the game, you are leaving it in the hands of the refs at the end and you never want to do that.

So maybe, in addition to expressing belief in his players, he wanted to reinforce how these are the things that can happen if business isn't taken care of earlier in a game. Leave it in the hands of officials, and it's a roll of the dice, so don't let it get to that point.

I give zero credibility to the bull**** that BB would waste time on such a juvenile notion as to show the team how other teams were robbed just as they were. That's just flat out idiotic and just runs contrary to BB's philosophy of moving on to the next game.
