Nov. 18 at Carolina Panthers, 8:40 p.m. W
Nov. 24 Denver Broncos, 8:30 p.m L
Dec. 1 at Houston Texans, 4:25 p.m W
Dec. 8 Cleveland Browns, 1 p.m W
Dec. 15 at Miami Dolphins, 1 p.m W
Dec. 22 at Baltimore Ravens, 8:30 p.m L
Dec. 29 Buffalo Bills, 1 p.m. W

So I have them at 12-4 overall.

Assuming key pieces on defense come back and the offense stays healthy...

Analysis...

Panthers: I'm aware of the team's history coming out of a bye, but the Panthers are a trap game. Denver is on the horizon the next week. Combine that with the fact that they have an excellent run game, a QB that is mobile but can sling it to talented position players, and a really good defense, and this looks like your letdown/trap game. On most other Sundays, the Patriots are capable of beating them, and beating them well. But not this time around.

Broncos: With Talib, Dennard, Arrington, McCourty, and Gregory all healthy, this team matches up with the Broncos better than most teams in the league. Run defense is a concern but the Broncos don't have much at that position to make us pay. Offensively, I still don't see how they can match up with Gronk and Amendola. If Dobson continues his ascention, he should be able to torch whomever they stick on him if they decide to play man to man without safety help. We should also be able to pound them with the running game.

Texans: This game is a toss up. It will probably be a tough one because they have the best defense in the NFL and I was hoping they would cut Keenum so we could pick him up (but no dice ). This should be a grind it out win.

Browns: They are playing very well and look to be the only team remaining with the best defense to shut down our options passing game one on one and generate a pass rush with four pass rushers. They also have options on offense to move the ball against our defense, even when the pieces in the secondary and DL are healthy. This would be a tough game to call, but I'd call it a letdown loss.

Dolphins/Bills/Ravens: Dolphins are in the midst of a season long scandal and may mail it in. We typically handle the Bills at home and the Ravens simply aren't that good this year.

12-4.

How can anyone be so presumptuous as to the future record of this team when , as things stand right now, the Pats are ONE MORE KEY INJURY from catastrophe. I don't care if God Almighty was coaching this team, if anyone thinks the Pats can take another injury to a starter on the OL, the DB, the LB or the DL, then they should be nominated for Optimist of the 21st Century award...7-2 at this juncture with this spate of severe injuries is nothing short of miraculous IMO. As it stands NOW, I believe the Pats will make the playoffs...beyond that...all I see is extremely cloudy water.

because its fun?

the pats are 3rd in the NFL in sacks and passer rating defensively, and sopoaga will help against the run. If the returning offensive guys manage to stay healthy, they'll be in as good of a shape as anyone.

denver - amidst all the noise is a defense who really can't stop anyone. the offense is beginning to make a sizable amount of mistakes, and in general the team seems complacent and now does not have fox to ride them and del rio.....well, he's a good on on how to screw things up.

kansas city - jamaal charles will be worn down by playoff time. that ends that

indy - smoke and mirrors. another defense that can't stop anyone

cincy - may not win another game on the road this year. and then the playoffs? LOL

honestly, the jets scare me as much as the broncos, and more than anyone else

Nov. 18 at Carolina Panthers, 8:40 p.m.L

Dec. 29 Buffalo Bills, 1 p.m. W

The board goes into total meltdown after back to back losses but the team is focused on what's important getting ready for the playoffs and entering the tournament with momentum. 12-4 as the 2 seed sets the Pats up nicely to make a deep run and avenge that Nov 24th loss in the AFCchampionship. Bill almost never loses to a team they get to see again.

I agree with this to a T. Carolina is tough and physical, built like the Ravens, and we do terrible against physical teams, and Denver has too much offense for our D to handle. A 5 game win streak to end the season sounds about right. Plus, this years Ravens team will not beat us.

I think the panthers are a bunch of frauds

5 wins against a combined 8-33. plus they've lost to the bills and cardinals

Another thing I've noticed with Denver is that Manning's arm seems to be weakening again. Earlier in the year, he was getting away with putting a little air under a lot of his passes (particularly passes downfield). Lately, he hasn't been getting away with that as much. So I sincerely hope that a blizzard or an ice storm blows through Foxborough prior to the Broncos game. That should make for some great entertainment.

The Panthers seem built to beat us. They'll run all over our depleted run defense and that defensive line of theirs will have their way with our offensive line, especially the interior.

The Broncos just seem like they're on a completely different level offensively. I think it'll be close, but the only way I see us winning is if Peyton has one of his patented multi-interception games.

Wouldn't be surprised if we beat the Ravens, but I'm terrified of them. They seem to have our numbers. By that, I mean Flacco has mastered the art of throwing it deep to Torrey Smith when Arrington is on him and drawing a PI.

All three of those losses could be wins, of course. It sounds weird, but the loss I expect most is to Carolina.

The most likely "surprise losses" would be Houston and Miami. Case Keenum could be a real find, and Miami could be very angry and looking to improve on their second half collapse in the last meeting. However, I don't see them beating us, but of the games I marked as wins, I think those two are the most likely to be losses.

Browns game will probably be the most boring and surprisingly close.

My prediction before the season started was 11-5 I'm sticking with it. I see losses to Carolina, Miami and Baltimore.

NE @ CAR the panthers have the #3 over all defense in the NFL #2 in points and #2 vs the run but they don't have the pass rushing DT's to get after Brady up the middle, this will not be a easy win its a road game but BB with two weeks to come up with a game plan is just to much for the panthers to over come pats win 31-24,

DEN @ NE this is the game everyone has been waiting for all year the Brady Manning bowl, the pats will need Aqib Talib back for this game and the front 4 need to have a monster game, I think the pats will get after manning and win this game 24-21,

NE @ HOU Houston is not the same team from last year there running game is not what it was but this will not be a blow out like this last 2 games they played but still pats win 28-21,

CLE @ NE the browns have one of the best defenses in the NFL a good young TE (Jordan Cameron ) and WR ( Josh Gordon ) and have been playing some of the best football in the NFL over the last few weeks but on the road vs a team like the pats is to much for them. pats win 27-17,

NE @ MIA the fish always play brady and the pats good in Miami but even with that said it should be a easy win 38-20,

NE @ BAL this is a far cry from the team that won the SB last year but the ravens still have Haloti Ngata up the middle with Suggs and Dumervil coming off the edge, ravens win 27-17,

BUF @ NE the bills running is starting to get better they will keep it close but pats win 34-28,

I have the pats sitting at 13-3 with the #1 seed in the AFC and with the ravens and jets not making the playoffs and cincy losing Geno Atkins for the year there is no team with a inside pass rush to stop Brady and only Denver with the type of offense that could out score the pats, with that said I have the pats beating the Seahawks in the SB

We have a predict the season contest which is stickied.

Now that we know more about our team and the teams we will be playing the rest of the season, let's do a bye week prediction for the next 7 games.

Here's the remaining schedule. Next to the game place a W by the game you think the Patriots will win and an L by the games you think the Patriots will not win

Nov. 18 at Carolina Panthers, 8:40 p.m.W
Nov. 24 Denver Broncos, 8:30 p.m L I so want this to be a W
Dec. 1 at Houston Texans, 4:25 p.m W
Dec. 8 Cleveland Browns, 1 p.m L.
Dec. 15 at Miami Dolphins, 1 p.m W
Dec. 22 at Baltimore Ravens, 8:30 p.m W.
Dec. 29 Buffalo Bills, 1 p.m. W

This will give the Patriots a 12-4 record and probably a 2nd seed in the playoffs.

Nov. 18 at Carolina Panthers, 8:40 p.m. = Win 38 to 28
Nov. 24 Denver Broncos, 8:30 p.m. = Win 39 to 36
Dec. 1 at Houston Texans, 4:25 p.m. = Win 28 to 17
Dec. 8 Cleveland Browns, 1 p.m. = Win 34 to 13
Dec. 15 at Miami Dolphins, 1 p.m. = Win 27 to 17
Dec. 22 at Baltimore Ravens, 8:30 p.m. = Win 31 to 28
Dec. 29 Buffalo Bills, 1 p.m. = Win 48 to 21

= Wishful thinking :rocker:

Nov. 18 at Carolina Panthers, 8:40 p.m. L
Nov. 24 Denver Broncos, 8:30 p.m. L
Dec. 1 at Houston Texans, 4:25 p.m. W
Dec. 8 Cleveland Browns, 1 p.m. W
Dec. 15 at Miami Dolphins, 1 p.m. W
Dec. 22 at Baltimore Ravens, 8:30 p.m. W.
Dec. 29 Buffalo Bills, 1 p.m. W

Panthers have a fantastic defense and the Broncos are just an offensive super power. :/

This is all assuming that the offense we saw Sunday is here to stay. Not 55 points a game here to stay, but consistently sniffing the upper 20s lower 30s. I feel better about this defense playing with a lead than defenses of the past. The pass rush is there statistically, and the secondary is competitive.

Nov. 18 at Carolina Panthers, 8:40 p.m. W. Don't feel good about playing Cam Newton at home, but I have a good feeling about our offense starting to feel good and get rest. I think it's a shootout where Newton makes enough mistakes to get us the W.

Nov. 24 Denver Broncos, 8:30 p.m W: No idea, but I feel good about a win here, partly because Denver has a game against KC on each side of our meeting. Hopefully, Houston and Hali tenderize Manning a little and we have some nice Foxboro late November weather.

Dec. 1 at Houston Texans, 4:25 p.m W. Though this game has me worried. I think Watt is due against us, and their run O could be problematic.

Dec. 8 Cleveland Browns, 1 p.m W. Their defense is good, but I feel good about this game at home with a merry-go-round at the QB slot for Cleveland.

Dec. 15 at Miami Dolphins, 1 p.m W. I think they're done. Tannehill is a turnover machine, and they had issues protecting him before they lost a starter.

Dec. 22 at Baltimore Ravens, 8:30 p.m L. They have a thing for us, and even if they continue their sucky ways, they get up for our matchup.

Dec. 29 Buffalo Bills, 1 p.m. W. This could be a loss too, but we seem to get these late season divisional games.

If no key player injuries and Pats get Talib and Vereen back Healthy.
I predict they win all remaining games.
( if there is a loss most likely it will be Denver )

I can't see people thinking Miami will beat PATS if they are healthy.
Assuming no injuries, PATs offense will be very hard to slow down when
they meet Miami ... just too much for Miami.

PATS 14-2

Man, let's swap that loss so it comes against Carolina or Cleveland. I very badly want the Pats to beat the Ravens very badly.

Pats will lose in MIA and i think at home vs Denver

The Dolphins had a terrible line with dumbass and Martin imagine how terrible it will be without them. Stick a fork in the Fins they are done. No way in hell they beat this team when they come rolling in.

And Broncos beating us at home...I don't see it. No defense and an offense beating up on weak teams. And Peyton's dominance has come against teams with a combined passing ranking of 26th in the NFL (263.9 Yards PPG allowed). Remove the Broncos games and it jumps to 19th in the NFL (249.8 Yards PPG allowed). Not exactly murders row of pass defenses.

Current rankings of the pass defenses they have played:
14th
16th
25th
32nd
31st
12th
17th
28th

The Broncos don't impress me as much as they do most.

Nov. 18 at Carolina Panthers, 8:40 p.m.

Pats up 23-20 with the Panthers driving late Ninkovich strips Cam Newton as he attempts to scramble from the pocket. Pats take over on their own 43 with 37 seconds left and Brady enters the victory formation.

Nov. 24 Denver Broncos, 8:30 p.m

The Patriots leading at three quarters 38-13 allow Manning to come rushing back again to 38-34 with 3 Wes Welker TDs. Then with 43 seconds left Manning once again throws a head scratching pick this time to Logan Ryan who grabs his junk and says cut this meat Peyton.

Dec. 1 at Houston Texans, 4:25 p.m

Pats continue their domination of the Texans 38-24

Dec. 8 Cleveland Browns, 1 p.m

Hard rain makes this similar to the 2003 contest. Talib ends any chances of the Browns winning with a late pick to seal the 9-6 victory.

Dec. 15 at Miami Dolphins, 1 p.m

The unexpected return of Richie Incognito doesn't help the now 4-10 Dolphins who lose 26-10.

Dec. 22 at Baltimore Ravens, 8:30 p.m

Pats sack Flaco a club record 8 times including 4 by returning DL member Justin Francis. Win 22-13

Dec. 29 Buffalo Bills, 1 p.m.

Pats win 31-0 on Lawyer Milloy bobblehead night.

As likely as anything else predicted.

Man, let's swap that loss so it comes against Carolina or Cleveland. I very badly want the Pats to beat the Ravens very badly.
Done.

Nov. 18 at Carolina Panthers, 8:40 p.m.W
Nov. 24 Denver Broncos, 8:30 p.m W
Dec. 1 at Houston Texans, 4:25 p.m W
Dec. 8 Cleveland Browns, 1 p.m L
Dec. 15 at Miami Dolphins, 1 p.m W
Dec. 22 at Baltimore Ravens, 8:30 p.m W
Dec. 29 Buffalo Bills, 1 p.m. W

Pats go 0 - 7 in second half.

and then I woke up

I think we could go 7-0, will probably go 6-1/5-2

Nov. 18 at Carolina Panthers, 8:40 p.m.

Another big offensive performance, Talib Island shuts down Smith. 34-17.

Nov. 24 Denver Broncos, 8:30 p.m

It's a shootout, Talib has a great game. As does Chandler Jones who has 3 sacks. Gronk/Amendola/Dobson/Vereen/Ridley ALL scored TD's. Vereen's is a wheel route from the backfield like the Texans. Pats are up 44-37 late in the 4th when Peyton throws a pick to McCourty. Pats run the clock down and score a FG to make it 47-37.

Dec. 1 at Houston Texans, 4:25 p.m

A tighter game against a good Texans D, but Chandler Jones outperforms JJ Watt and the Pats win 24-14 with a late Gronk TD.

Dec. 8 Cleveland Browns, 1 p.m

Another tight game against a Browns team in divisional contention. Ridley scores 3 TD's with 150 yards rushing and Brady has 300 yards, 2 TD's. Pats win 38-24 but in reality it was tighter than that with a late Browns turnover followed by two Pats TD's.

Dec. 15 at Miami Dolphins, 1 p.m

The Pats secure the division against Cleveland and let up a little against the Dolphins, a poor offensive performance, 24-21 Miami

Dec. 22 at Baltimore Ravens, 8:30 p.m

Pats are pissed off after late loss the week before and hammer the Ravens with 5 TD's and 500 yards of offense aswell as a pick 6. Secures a first round bye. 45-20

Dec. 29 Buffalo Bills, 1 p.m.

Bills year is done and they play awul in Foxboro. Brady comes out in the 3rd quarter after Pats are 31-3 up at the half with a pick 6 and K/PR. In the second Mallet scores a TD and there's also a strip sack returned for a TD. 45-17.
