67 fights and only lost 3 and had 2 draws. 2 losses in 76 and his last loss 11 years later in 87 vs Ray Leonard which would be his final fight. Hagler hounded for a rematch, but Leonard wouldnt fight Hagler again because he knew that he would lose.

At Super Bowl 38, I saw almost as many Red Sox hats and stuff as Patriots attire.

Boston is a baseball town and for many the Red Sox come first and then the Pats. For me the Pats are first, but Im proud when a Boston team wins in any sport.

Boston is a bandwagon town....sorry to say.

Everyone loves the Sox now, but the last 3 years, till about the time Ortiz hit the grand slam against the Tigers, interest for the Sox was at an all time low. The Sox are disgustingly popular, no doubt, but the Pats are now the #1 team in the region......for now. Judging by how people have booed them, despite being 6-2 this season, I can see it getting ugly, if we really suck when Brady/Belichick leave.

I wouldn't call it a bandwagon town. People everywhere -- Boston included -- do jump on the bandwagon when a team succeeds. But fans in Boston stick with their teams as much as any town, imo. From the time I was able to follow sports, it was 25 years before any of the teams other than than the Celts won, yet all the teams were pretty popular throughout my childhood.

For me, I'm pushing into my 30's. My best memories as a child were always the Patriots, esp the Super Bowl run vs GB, and I think that's the case for most fans my age and younger. The Kraft era success of the Pats, and the ridiculous popularity of the NFL, its just bound to leave its mark on this town.

You know the game, too. It's some kid up from Pawtucket making a spot start because the #5 guy has a blister vs. Kansas City's #4 starter. Mid week, mid summer, on a night when you're sitting on the deck drinking brews. You call your mum up, and she's got the game on. She's got aunt Ethel visiting, and they are breaking down the #5 KC hitter's stance. Then aunt Ethel comes up with how the guy is a philandering pig, and that's why his 0-whatever vs. this kid from the Pawsox that no one's heard of.

I think we are gonna have to agree to disagree on this one. I think that was the case years ago, but not so much now. I mean Sox are still ridiculously popular, That's no question. But the example you used you can make the same case for Pats fans in the region that breaks down the draft class like its their job.

I know a lot of people don't like change, but times have changed!
