Kenbrell Thompkins ? @KTdaWinner
6yrs ago I worked an overnight stocking job. Sometimes u have 2 work a ***** paying job to understand how hard it is 2 make a $ in this world

I just hope he improves enough to keep his high 6 figure NFL job.
Save your money, KT.

It's good to see someone learn from their mistakes, and Thompkins has made plenty throughout his growing phase. Some wouldn't come to his conclusion even after getting arrested 7 times.

At this point though, he's got to step up his game again, as he hasn't been doing too well in the past couple of games beating his coverage. His hand/eye coordination (catching the ball) and route running are both very raw still too. Let's hope he steps it up and doesn't fizzle out.

Here's a guy under normal circumstances wouldn't get the opportunity he's been afforded today. Just the fact that he recognizes this and is humble about the chance he's been given tells you a lot about his character.

Absolute worst case for KT for a couple of years is practice squad wages. That's still a whole lot better than overnight stocking.

And I don't think it will come to that.

Considering the fact that he's had 3 catches or less in 6/8 games this year, and 16 yards or less in 3 of the last 4 games, I wouldn't find it advisable to go purchasing any million dollar homes just yet.

He has earned a spot on a bad receiving corps this year (so far), but his reps are slipping as is his ability to beat his coverage lately.

Kenbrell was a Walmart stocker?..... You can ask him now to ...
"Save Brady,Play Better"

(an adjustment to the current Walmart slogan)

Hope he has "really" moved away from the prolonged juvenile delinquency phase of his life, after AH gotta wonder about any of these guys who seem have dabbled in the underbelly of society.

I hope I am wrong, but I tend to be on the skeptical side of things...

If he has done so, great story...

16 yards or less in 3 of the last 4 games

Last 4 games:

Week 5: 3 players over 40 yards (Amendola, Edelman, Dobson)
Week 6: 4 players over 40 yards (Edelman, Dobson, Hooman, KT)
Week 7: 1 player over 45 yards (Gronk), 3 over 30 yards (Edelman,Dobson)
Week 8: 1 player over 30 yards (Dobson)

Not exactly massive numbers from anyone (except for Gronk against the Jets)

Not just KT having poor numbers!

any of these guys who seem have dabbled in the underbelly of society.

If a kid is poor, black, and male, "dabbling" is probably more common than not.

It's the ones who go way beyond dabbling who are the problem ...

To give perspective here are his 1st 4 and last 4 games stats projected ot a full season (ie times 4)

1st 4 60-1028-12
Last 4 32-308-4

Clearly his plan has declined.

Sometimes stepping it up can be counterproductive to a rookie, especially if he tries to do too much too soon.

The one big thing he needs right now is just to be patient and keep doing things the way he has been doing them, and eventually the game will come to him. It will slow down for him.

One day at a time, one thing at a time. This is a rookie trying to function in a very complex offense with a very impatient quarterback.
