Monday Night Football: Seattle Seahawks at St. Louis Rams

I know the Rams have a very good Defensive Line but the more I watch Russell Wilson the less impressed I am with his inability to pick up or feel pressure. He seems to take more sacks than he should.

I'm biased because Wilson is my favorite non-patriot player, but his O-line is terrible without Okung. Hell, it was already mediocre with Okung. Besides Marshawn, his weapons are pretty mediocre too, he needs Percy to come back.

I agree that Wilson is a great young talent it's more a prolonged assessment of mine. He doesn't seem to throw the ball away enough and often holds onto the pigskin like Roethlisberger trying to extend the play.

Tonight, the Rams DL has been dominant and Wilson hasn't looked particularly good. I agree that the Seattle OL has been pathetic.

Can't argue with that.

If the Rams had a competent QB in there, and not a guy doing his best Mark Sanchez impersonation, they'd be winning this in a landslide.

The Seahawks O can't handle a taste of their medicine from that Rams D-Line.

Yup, he tries too long to make a play. Only time will tell if he can learn to throw the ball away or he heads forever into Rthlsbrgr territory, assuming he doesn't get RG3ed.

This Stacy kid has sick vision.

They got Stacy in round 5

BB wouldn't play Tate for the first half after that.

There's no place for that nonsense on the field.

Wow, Tate is a piece of work. Too bad the penalty can't come into effect before the TD.

He looks very good. Was he injured to start the season? He looks far more decisive than Pead and Richardson. He could be a steal for the Rams.

NFL should do what college does. If the taunt comes on the field of play, including unnecessarily diving into the end zone, then it is a spot foul - meaning the score does not count.

EDIT: Heck, I remember a huge brou-ha-ha here in Massachusetts when some high school kid was on his way into the end zone and raised the ball in celebration and they took the score away and it cost them the state championship.

I could see that coming into play at some point. I like seeing funny/creative TD celebrations, but there's no need to start taunting at the 20. Especially when you got lucky the DB tripped himself up.

I strongly disagree with taunting penalties in professional sports. Seriously, why should I care if a guy dances before he scores or high steps, it's a show. At its very core it's entertainment.

Healthy scratch(es) to start the season. The other guys fizzled out, that's why he's getting his chance now.

Because it leads to players getting jacked up by the other team who don't like having sand kicked in their faces.

If as I expect the Seahawks win this game, they'll be 7-1 after playing 5 of their first 8 on the road. Their remaining schedule:
Sun, Nov 3 vs. Buccaneers

Sun, Nov 10 @ Falcons

Sun, Nov 17 vs. Vikings

Mon, Dec 2 vs. Saints

Sun, Dec 8 @ 49ers

Sun, Dec 15 @ Giants

Sun, Dec 22 vs. Cardinals

Sun, Dec 29 vs. Rams
I don't expect them to lose a game at home, obviously. So of those three remaining road games only the 'Niners game looks tough. If they shore up their O-Line, they'll probably end up going 15-1 or 14-2 potentially with HFA throughout.

At this moment, it looks like the road to the Super Bowl in the NFC will go through Seattle.

I see your point, I would say just enforce the rough stuff only and if guys don't like getting scored on they should prevent it, but from a preventative standpoint it seems reasonable.

Still don't think we as fans should care, if anything it adds to the experience. I don't like Richard Sherman because he talked shyt to Brady if he hadn't I probably wouldn't care about him one way or another.

Russell Okung/Percy Harvin returning + HFA....game over for the NFC.

Pats vs. Seahawks in a snowstorm. Lombardi would be proud to see such a game.

Pretty much. The only hope for otherwise would be the Saints (hello, pherein) keeping pace with them and ultimately beating them in Seattle.

Otherwise, as it stands if they remain healthy, I can't see any other scenario playing out where they don't get HFA.
