Thru week 6 Amendola has only proven his critics correct…

I'm sorry, I googled the Brady6 Plan for developing an "Armor Collar" and all that came up were sites detailing how someone could actually stick their head up their @ss, repeatedly, as an exercise no less? Go figure? I guees Amendola will just have to figure it out for himself.

This is such a cool catfight.

Come on ..ahem..guys.

Amendola, Edelmen, and Collie all train out in Cali with Athletic Gaines. He lifts weights. He's never gonna look like Vincent Jackson or David Boston.

In my opinion Amendola needs to commit to a more intense off season training program, something that incorporates a lot more strength and flexibility training; if he did this I believe he could hold up better against the abuse of a NFL season.
.
You lose all credibility with posts like this.
You have no idea what his workout regimen is.
Flexibility and strength training would not prevent a broken collarbone or concussion.

Wow! Your special.

Excuses are for failures and so far all you've provided for Amendola is excuses.

Correct me if I'm wrong but injury that has kept Amendola off the field in 2013 has been a groin injury?

Injury report since the start of 2011… Maybe the training program doesn’t have to be more intense training program but I do think it needs to be a different training program, something more specific to injury prevention.

Amendola's main injuries have been him not knowing how to maneuver his body to avoid impact. I haven't seen where he originally injured his groin (only the reinjury) but I have seen the clip where he messes up his arm, basically he puts his arm out to try to break his fall and it doesn't work out so well, Gronk did the same thing, neither one of them roll properly.

Your better off not putting your arm out on a roll for that exact reason, it really doesn't help and you're needlessly exposing yourself to injury.

Daito Ryu Aikijujutsu & Yawara Demo - YouTube

Take a look at the rolling this guy does in the early part of this video, he rolls with his body and absorbs very little impact. Amendola also "braces" for impact by tightening his body, which is the exact wrong thing to do, the loose and relaxed drunk guy is the one who walks away from a car accident unharmed while the sober guy who tightens up gets hurt.

These are "body skills" that don't come with a typical training program. While I certainly think there are plenty of improvements that can be made to typical NFL training programs for those skills he needs a very good judo teacher and perhaps some yoga, which many players can benefit from.

Well, in his defense, you'd think people who play in the NFL would have professional trainers, or something like that...

If only those folks were as up-to-speed on stuff like this as weekend warriors.

Some players seem to have the injury bug, whether it's a nagging forever injury (Dowling, and I fear, Talib, with the hip), while others have bad luck with the timing of an injury (Amendola, 1st game blues as opposed to Welker's last game tear), or with the number of unrelated injuries (Edelman, and Amendola seems to have bad luck both ways!).

I'm curious, what percentage of STARTING players play all 16 games in the NFL? I'm betting it varies greatly by position, and I'm betting the % is a lot lower than most fans understand. Almost every fan board every year moans about the "injury bug," blissfully unaware, apparently, that other teams are getting decimated on a regular basis.

Next week: we design a bra for Mayo.

Brady6 or your honor you can rest your case...If that doesn't explain the guy is injury prone I don't know what will.:confused2:

He just proved my point. He is injury prone. Always has been...always will be. Regardless of how his off season training program goes

Amendola made no attempt to avoid that hit (which was perfectly legal).

He doesn't know how to protect himself, and he is injury prone. It is what it is.

He should be replaced by Collie, i like what i saw in that Saints game.

See post #399.
Did you read it?
It does not support your claim, and you still have not explained how training would prevent a broken collarbone or concussion.

Here is the article with the parts that conflict with your assertions bolded.

Patriots slot receiver Danny Amendola added MMA training to his workout regimen this offseason, and he was at the gym with some of the greatest fighters in the world.Amendola admitted he was hesitant at first, but the reassurance that Chuck Liddell and Randy Couture wouldn't turn his face into a plate of spaghetti might have swayed his final opinion."I definitely have much respect for that sport because those guys are crazy," Amendola said. "It’s an intense workout."I liked it. I’m going to do it for a long time."Amendola started his day by going through his normal football training routine before heading to the MMA gym, so he believed it would help his cardio. Hard to argue with that, really."We didn’t actually punch each other," Amendola said, "but we did drills and grappling and boxing."Amendola was wise not to get into it with either UFC legend, but the 5-foot-11, 188-pounder did joke, "I’ve got that little guy inside me that wants to mix it up at all times."Amendola's Patriots career has gotten off to a red-hot start, at least in practice, as his connection with Tom Brady has been undeniable. He appears poised to be a suitable replacement for Wes Welker, though the constant concern with Amendola has been injuries. He missed 20 games in the last two seasons. If he is concerned about his injuries, he surely didn't show it tonight."I’m going to play the same way I’ve always played," Amendola said. "That’s why I’m here. I’m just going to try to play as hard as I can for as long as I can and see how that goes." - See more at: The Blitz with Jeff Howe & Karen Guregian | Boston Herald

What would you expect him to do? He choices were to get tackled or flop to the ground.

Correct me if I'm wrong but injury that has kept Amendola off the field in 2013 has been a groin injury?
He recovered very quickly from that, and this entire thread was started because he decided to let his brain bounce off his skull instead of crawling into the fetal position when a defender got within 5 yards.

Wow! Your special.

No, he has produced facts. You just don't like them.

Lifting weights and stretching is going to prevent broken collarbones and concussions?

Obviously not, collar bones are pretty freak injuries and I don't care how many weights you lift, a concussion is from getting hit in the head and your brain rattling around and smashing into your skull.

Off-season conditioning and training could affect things like groin injuries though.

Actually Brady6 is really onto something, imagine how different the NFL would be if these guys started to work out. They are already really big and fast and if they started to run and lift weights it would revolutionize the game. I am sure Gronkowski and Amendola wouldn't be such ****ies if they would simply follow a Brady6 workout regimen. I don't know why anyone never thought of this before he came up with the idea?
