1) Edelman was banged up a lot in the last drive.

2) Amendola is likely to be out.

3) Collie seems to be learning the system well.

Maybe it will be Gronk, although the early projection of after the bye is still possible.

BTW, as someone else pointed out, Hooman seems capable of having a much larger role than he has been given.

It'll be either Jordan Shipley or Devon Wylie.

Hooman has looked great. He's been great at fighting for extra yardage and definitely has potential to be a solid #2 TE.

I think Edelman will be fine and unfortunately we won't see Amendola next week.

Per @FieldYates, Patriots have WRs Jordan Shipley, Devon Wylie & LaQuan Williams, along with TE Brandon Barden, in for tryouts.

If they trade or sign for a WR, I wonder who would be the odd man out? Boyce trending down, Collie up.

I agree about Hooman... he deserves much more respect (from this board) Rarely does anyone speak about his improving... yet he's only 25.

I can't really see them giving up on Boyce after 6 games, actually I'd say its nearly impossible.

He is the best one of McDaniel's lackies to date.

Edelman will be out there, Amendola will be on the sideline in sweatpants and Collie will see some reps.

The odd man out would likely be at a position other than wide receiver.

Austin Collie is an under the radar signing that has the potential to pay off BIG.

For good reasons, he is regarded as an IR designee waiting to happen. However, for as long as his head doesn't get bashed.....

I watched the coaches tape of the final drive several times, and Collie was very elusive in Welker-type of short to medium option routes. He had two big catches on that drive, one on a critical 4th and 4. He looked good on that drive, and from all accounts, is being complimented for coming in and doing everything to learn the offense.

Without Amendola, this is the type of veteran receiver that can help Brady on those critical 3rd downs.

Hopefully, he stays healthy long enough for Amendola to get healthy.

Then, hopefully Amendola stays healthy long enough for Collie to get back again.

Then, hopefully Collie stays healthy long enough for Amendola......

And so on and so on....

...until the playoffs when both are healthy along with Gronk, Talib, Kelly, Mayo and everybody else.

Edelman with Collie and Boyce getting some reps.
