Cole has been released for the third time this season, per a number of tweets.

That puts the Patriots down to the minimum allowed 51; they cannot release any more players without making a corresponding move.

Yup, figure someone in the practice squad is coming up. My bet's on Forston and I think he'll stick around a while. Probably also call up Kanorris Davis, the safety. Played a lot of special teams last week.

The Brady vs. Manning competition is going to take a new turn when Brady throws the pass that turns Collie into a vegetable and Manning takes to the media and claiming he should receive credit for it because his throws led Collie into at least 10 concussions.

The difference between Cole and Ventrone is that Cole has not been a healthy inactive, or cut when he was healthy.

This must be pretty stressful for Cole. He probably has to hide injuries and call pulled hamstrings just cramps. I'm also kind of curious if and how much does his paycheck change between these coming and going contracts.
