Vollmer injured vs Buccaneers (update: sprained foot)

Sucks. We need a month with zero injuries. Too much to ask?

Let me be the first. Vollmer is made of glass.

Unfortunately, given how these next three opponents have been getting after the quarterback, this loss might be felt pretty hard. Really one of a few huge negatives for this game yesterday. Hopefully it's not something very serious.

Being down to 5 OL who are proven to be able to play well is scary.

It also interferes greatly with the possibility of using 6-OL sets, as happened fairly often in the first two games but not the third.

As I recall, we have replacements, so we're not totally helpless. Still, I hope he has a speedy recovery. Vollmer is a key part of that O Line.

As long as his back holds up he hopefully won't be sidelined as long with this problem.

Guregian: According to source, Vollmer has sprained foot.

According to a source, Patriots tackle Sebastien Vollmer suffered a sprained foot during Sunday's game. Not thought to be serious.

Maybe good news on that front considering we'll need all hands on deck for the OL when we play the Bengals.

As long as it's not a back injury...

Sea-Glass. What a wimp, he needs to man up and stop getting injured.

He'll be back in a week or two. If this was a playoff game this week, he'd probably suit up.

I liked Seglasstian Vollmer better.

Sorry. Sea-Glass for the win.

Don't know if I'd want to tell the 6'8" beast to "man up" to his face though.

Seriously though, I'm just glad it's not a lisfranc injury. First was relieved to learn that it wasn't his back; now, knowing that it's his foot, I'm just relieved that's nothing bone related. Feels like we dodged two bullets.

6'8" and 330lb - I won't be telling him to toughen up
