49ers Aldon Smith locker's cleared out, indefinitely suspended and headed to rehab

Wow, never thought a DUI would lead to this. Listen, most of these players aren't geniuses, they are gonna make this SAME mistake over and over, BUT, it doesn't neccasarily mean all these guys are jerks. Hopefully he gets his **** together and never causes trouble ever again.

And probably the worst fact of all... the 49ers waited until AFTER this game to suspend him.

If Harbaugh had the legality to do it -- there seemed to be some argument to that -- it was probably a bad move not to suspend him. The message he sends to his team is a bad one (never mind that he deserved some sort of smack down).

Good for him. It's nice to see one of these guys who has their priorities straight. I hope he can straighten himself out.

It's not "merely" a DUI. It's blowing nearly twice the legal limit (0.15) at 7 AM, just a couple of hours before he's supposed to be in a practice.
