I really enjoyed the write up, it was very entertaining to read which is the main priority when writing for a website like you are, great job.

I'm thinking the problem with Manziel's easy misses is that a different part of his brain is engaged which causes the problem, basically he's allowed to think which screws him up. From what I read Jake Locker was very similar, fantastic throws on the run but horrible misses when taking easy shots from the pocket. You see this with some receivers who can make impossible catches but mess up the ones that a grade school player could make.

There are ways to deal with this purely from a physical point of view but the key thing with him is character: is he going to listen to his coaches or is he going to ignore them because he's Johnny Manziel?

Mackenzie, Dominique Easley seems a bit of a tweener, what do you see happening with him in the draft?

Yawin Smallwood

I was at the UConn game last night. Yawin Smallwood is clearly the best player on the UConn defense and he's in a similar class to Kendall Reyes and Sio Moore. I think he's a solid 2nd round pick. I really liked what I saw from Byron Jones. He did an excellent job against Jeremy Gallon all night. He's tall and long and runs pretty well. I'd have to look at him closer, but I think I like him more than Gratz and Blidi just from that one game, and I was high on Blidi. Obviously it's just one game, but I came away impressed. He blanketed Gallon who's pretty good all night.

For Michigan I came away very unimpressed with most of their guys. I kept a close eye on Taylor Lewan all night and he really struggled. He got absolutely toasted on a QB roll-out right and allowed his man to get a basically untouched sack. He committed a false start(they called it on the LG, but he moved first) and had a holding penalty. He also didn't stand out for his size. I can remember watching Kelechi Osemele at Rentchesler and he was an incredibly large human. Lewan, not so much. He's listed at 6'8", he looks more like 6'5" or 6'6". He did have some good moments and stonewalled a few guys in protection. UConn did have constant pressure all night and Michigan did not run the ball well.

Wasn't very impressed with Jeremy Gallon either. Didn't create alot of separation and really didn't strike me as a dynamic athlete. Jones might have just a good job, but I was not impressed. Fitz Toussaint is the most average back I've seen. No wiggle, not quick, not fast, not powerful. He picked up yardage when he had holes and that was it. Continued to pick the wrong no multiple occasions. And Yawin Smallwood b****ed him on one play where he tossed him out of bounds like a baby. Devin Gardner is fast and runs like a track guy, but he's just not a QB. Does NOT take care of the football, stands in the pocket far too long, and makes one or two reads before he starts running around. I don't think he was fooling anyone into thinking he had a future as a QB, but he's an athlete similar to the man before him Denard Robinson.

Those are my thoughts. Feel free to bash.

Im currently focusing on these player:
DT:
-Ra'shede Hageman, Minnesota
-DaQuan Jones, Penn State

LB:
-Ryan Shazier, Ohio State
-Max Bullogh, Michigan State

CB:
-Darqueeze Dennard, Michigan State
-Stanley Jean-Baptiste, Nebraska

SS:
Dion Bailey, USC
Ahmad Dixon, Baylor

TE:
-Colt Lyerla, Oregon
-Jace Amaro, Texas Tech

Hageman is starting to rise up draft boards. I think CBS has him listed in the 20's now.

A couple more good games and he will be in the top 15.

DT Coleman of Cal on the other hand is starting to slide down the draft boards. I have not seen any Cal games,so it is hard for me get any read on his play.

I can't figure out why DT McCullers of Tenn is ranked as highly as he is.

A man can dream

I saw McCullers yesterday and i wasnt impressed, im liking Jones more and while he's not that 3tech penetrating dt that we need, he fills a need.

Mackenzie, Dominique Easley seems a bit of a tweener, what do you see happening with him in the draft?

He needs 10lbs and should play defensive tackle. He's a good fit as a 3 technique in a 4-3 under as long as he is 288

Just for the record McCullers is REALLY good. But it's not at all fair to evaluate him while he's playing in a 4-3 defense, one of the worst fits I've ever seen.

just a thought on the TE position. Quite rightly, we've been speculating about Hernandez type TEs like Lyerla and Amaro. But what about a bigger more in-line guy. Consider, that the Patriots have been more focused on the run this year and blocking; the use of a FB, using Solder as a TE, and they started Ballard in pre-season.

to that end, what about CJ Fiedorowicz of Iowa? For the position, this guy is a near dominating blocker and has impressively soft hands and catches almost everything thrown at him (he has those huge Gronk hands). He's not the most impressive athletically or in terms of explosivity, but if you're in need of a clutch catch, Fiedorowicz is your man.

Yes, he's a lot like Gronk but having two Gronks would hardly be a bad thing (I know he doesn't have Gronk's explosion). The guy has the potential to be a chain mover and whilst he's not as exciting as Lyerla, ASJ or Amaro, he might be the more dependable. Would you take him with a 2nd or 3rd? I think I would.

Just watched every snap of Clowney v UNC - the nonsense I suspected I was reading on Twitter and the like at the time turned out to be exactly that. He was fantastic. He is going to destroy teams when he hits the Pro's.

I'd sell one of my kids to see him wearing the Flying Elvis.
