At least one of those targets was a terrible Brady pass. Dierdorf was suggesting Brady was making a back shoulder throw to Thompkins. Bollix. Back heel throw would have been a better description.

If I wasn't STILL so enraged THIS is the post I would have made. It's like they WANTED to lose this game . LOOK at those gaffes...that TD off a Ridley fumble was stupidly ridiculous...THAT is a play LOSERS make. Fumble at the 2 foot line...UNFORGIVABLE screwup. CANNOT HAVE! 4 days until an extremely physical Jets front seven comes to the Razor. ZERO sacks today...Kelly had 2 QB hits and Jones 1...that's IT. The rookie was 18 for 27..a 105 rating...this is HORRID!!!! ABOMINABLE!!! COMPLETELY UNSATISFACTORY!

If healthy it is pretty clear from what I have seen at this stage in their careers Amendola is a better player than Welker, as far as being a better player than Welker if we compared them both in their primes I would still give that edge to Welker.

I wasn't gloating. The other thread got locked before I could point out the Reiss article. This being the post-game thread, it seemed like the appropriate alternate thread for it.

Awful game by Thompkins tho. Hopefully he can pull it together by American thanksgiving. As bad as he was, there was a glimmer of hope.

a lot of Rookie mistakes. Feet not inbounds, not breaking right away in the endzone when Brady scrambled. I think we will really see what he is made of thursday. If he can correct some of his mistake I will be happy.

All in all a pretty bad game. Tho I think that was really magnified by how many times Brady targeted him. Tho it should be noted he was not even looked at on that final drive.

Jets, Miami and NE 1-0....two of these teams have stifling defenses. This season looks like a "defend home turf" and try to get 10 wins. This will have to be Tom Brady's greatest season if this team has any expectations of a playoff berth and any success.

Dennard and McCourty were solid....in fact the secondary played well EXCEPT for a couple of key miscommunications...I really like the defensive talent on this team...I just want more pressure, more pocket collapsing...we play too many great QB's this season to let them sit there and bake cakes all game

He actually made a really good play in the first quarter almost intercepting a deep ball by Manuel, I think he matched up mainly with Woods.

To me Brady needs to sort out the wide receivers and we need Dobson. If the defense can play this well in the secondary and the offense starts to gel, this could be a very great team. But 1 thing is, amendola, gronk and vereen need to be there for Tom.

Beside the miscue on the TD at the end of the second half. The secondary as a whole locked it down today.

I'll put it this way. Before the game I was hoping AHern was locked up for life. But after seeing our poor options at Tight end without Gronk? I hope he's not only locked up, but they revoke his access to the raman noodle dispenser and also refrain from giving him seconds in regard to desert privileges.

Wouldn't suffering mean FORCED double helpings of dessert?

I honestly think some people wont be happy unless the defense posts a shutout every game. They gave up 1 legit scoring drive today and people are complaining.

I know not everyone was high on Aaron Dobson’s play during the preseason, that said he was very good in my opinion in the reps he saw with Brady, and I think he was someone who was missed today, at the very least he is a player who can draw coverage out of there, along with being a bigger target who can matchup in 1on1 jump ball situations.

I am also of the opinion that Thompkins is a better fit for the Y receiver position, where he can work underneath, and shorter outside routes, I do not think he has the skillset to work 1on1 with the other teams #1 outside CB on a consistent basis.

I think having Dobson on the field will really help out, both by giving Brady a true X receiver to target and with opening things up for the other guys.
