AWESOME New Tom Brady UGG Commercial

Honestly, the way I was going to describe it was something less than heterosexual. But I thought that would be too inflammatory. Shows what I know. LOL Actually tho, girly seems exactly right, based on how the women on this thread (and described on this thread) have reacted.

Actually quite a lot of men agree with me. See? Welcome to 2013.

Great ad. ANd I kind of liked the shoes. You have to know the Brady story — most people do, though the baseball bit might confuse some (and I can see opposing fans across the nation rolling their eyes after hearing "199" yet again).

I showed it to my wife and mentioned the "girly" comments. She laughed and said, "Um .. no. Definitely not girly."

Some guys complained about Elvis shaking his hips in the 50's and the Beatles hair in the 60's.

Many of that era have issues with needing to reinforce their masculinity. I'm not saying Rover is of that ilk.

I love how Tom Brady doesn't spend his time fretting over whether or not his clothing is too girly. Meanwhile he looks awesome and frankly, better than 99.9% of the men in this world, many of whom are pissing and moaning about how girly he looks.

and...Brady is laughing all the way to the bank!

And for whichever one of you called me a hater... I've been rooting the Pats on since they drafted Plunkett... screamed at the TV when Sugar Bear was called for roughing the passer... suffered the agony of the Bears crushing us... .

Newbie!
Welcome to Patriots fandom!

Me, I'm just glad there was no cute goat being held in the ad

I'm definitely old... 52... but the handle refers not to a canine, rather to a 1969 Series IIA Land Rover I rehabbed.

LOL, sure that's what they all say...

My favorite part of that commercial is where he grabs the baseball and flips it back to a teammate. Brady's pro-level baseball talent is just a footnote in his pro sports career but the ad creators gave it some legit credence as part of his journey from a high school athlete to where he is today.

There's a lot more going on in that commercial than most will understand.

I love how he completely clenches and GLARES at the the TV (announcing his pick as #199 in the 200 draft) as he passes it.

Also, the producers really went to detail to get two players in the last scene who vaguely resemble Bruschi and Rodney Harrison at the back of the bus over Brady's left shoulder. Don't think for a second that was some coincidence. They know the eye naturally moves to the right in a scene like that and they placed those two there strategically. Obviously, his high school and UMichigan consented to to representations of their programs while the Patriots (or NFL did not). So getting in the Bruschi-Harrison look alikes was the best they could do under the circumstances.

Nicely done commercial.

EDIT: Wait a minute... so you're saying girly is bad now? I thought you all were about girly being good. Please get your stories straight.

Of course not. He's saying you may have already embraced the awesomeness that is your girly side. Congratulations!

Much more going on than just that. The baseball Brady throws back is his decision to forgo being drafted by the MLB, the QB he nods at is Drew Henson (HS # is 11, #7 would have been to obvious) and the receiver he fist bumps is of course Terrell. Brady slaps the "Those who stay will be champions" logo to signify how he nearly transferred, but his decision to stay led to the Orange Bowl fame. And this is just to name a few.

Nicely done but doing something like this is hardly original in the industry by those who know what they are doing.
