Sadly, Tunescribe, this can't be true. There are Jets fans under the age of 50, so clearly, there is either procreation going on, or large amounts of indoctrination poisoning the minds of impressionable youth.

Either they are the Devil's spawn, or there is some terrible underground breeding program going on. I personally favour the latter.

The purpose behind letting the Jests win a SB was to provide contrast to their futility since then, thus enhancing the misery of their fans, who are led to believe that such success is possible in the future. This was also the reason behind allowing them to reach the AFC championship game under Rex, so an entirely new generation of New Jersey citizens could be brought in to the fold, only to suffer a lifetime of agony that only Dante could begin to imagine. If this hadn't happened, the team might have been moved to another city due to lack of fan support, which would have required approval from the EPA among other things.

C'mon guys the Jets are one of my favourite teams I follow them closely every week hoping for a loss. I would be so happy with a 0-16 record.
This will be Rex Ryan's last season.

Sadly so in my wife's extended family.
She's from Syracuse NY. Her cousin's daughter went to the college where the Jets train. Her daughter age 10 1/2 (and nearly 5' 9" !!! dwarfing my granddaughter who herself is in the 90th height percentile) came to visit my granddaughters ages 8 and 10. My girls noticed a JETS bracelet on their distant cousin, turned white and mentioned it to me, probably fearing I'd go crazy.

My girls know all about the "Butt fumble".

They said nothing to their cousin though.

I would be so happy with a 0-16 record.

I'd be even happier for a 5-11 record that shows just how awful they are, but also keeps them out of the running for the best draft picks.

Then again, if I were Jadeveon Clowney and saw that the Jets were headed for an 0-16 season, I'd give a lot of thought to sticking around for my senior year.

given the QB controversy between the GM and Ryan, it would be epic were the GM to force the issue by IRing Sanchez before Ryan knew what happened. Fait accompli!

Ok, this is too good. Rah Rah on Brady Quinn, now that he's a Jet:

BTW, Brady Quinn is really a good backup QB, perfect player in a backup role, solid NFL arm, can play any system, high character guy, great work ethic and temperament, good enough to be a solid fill in QB and back-up, was a nice fill-in during a poor KC season last year.

I get the feeling he was just never able to find a team that could get the most out of him, and now he has become a very good back-up QB.

The Butt Fumble changed my involvement as a fan. Before, I was disheartened, disappointed, let down by the hope of two AFC championship appearances. Now, I'm reinvigorated, excited to see how terrible this season will be. It's like reading about Amanda Bynes, It's better than actual sports. It's a full-fledged rebellion against sanity and rationality.

One day, when the dying vestiges of our culture raise up a flag in surrender to the greater forces of the future, I hope that flag has Mark Sanchez colliding into another man's butt on it.

The selling point to this stadium was that you can take the "train" there. Well, that's great, except that they stop running 25 minutes after the game, then run approximately once every 2 hours after that. Take 82,000 fans who just watched their franchise "quarterback" butt-fumble away respectability, mix in the last copter out of Saigon, and add a dash of a casting call to **** Snooki in all 7 of her holes and you get the idea. It's a long, long, ride back into Penn Station. The alcohol wears off and you start you wonder why you wasted a beautiful autumn day being angry.

It's great when Jests fans can hide behind anonymity and freely and humorously admit what all the world knows: The Jets Suck!

The only ones left are the ones who haven't committed suicide and have realized that their best survival strategy is to try to laugh it off.
