I will first admit I am not in love with Tebow the quarterback, primarily due to my ignorance of Tebow as a player, I have never followed him closely at any level, and in the games I have seen of him he has not impressed me, I prefer a more surgical and smooth looking player, Tebow is more like a tractor trailer going 80mph and swerving like a guy with 8 DUI’s under his belt is driving. Now all that aside I have to admit, I’m glad Tebow finished on a high note, and I wouldn’t mind seeing him stick around in some capacity (preferably injured reserve) the reason I am saying this doesn’t even have a lot to do with Tebow, it is more the fact that I have grown to like the majority of the Tebow supporters, much like wine I found the Tebow supporters to be distasteful at first but as it aged it became better. I think what I appreciate most about the Tebow supporters is in an age with so much “fair weather” behavior, in sports, personal relationships and basically every aspect of life, loyalty has become a lost attribute and unconditional support has become nearly extinct, but not for the supporters of Tebow no matter how illogical, irrational or nuts you may sound in your support of him you still stand by him, that I respect and I look to adopt similar traits as I support and advocate for people and things going forward in my life.

So in short. what I am attempting to convey is that whatever happens with Tebow tomorrow I sincerely hope many of you stick around and follow the team in 2013 and beyond.

Good stuff ( as usual from you ) . I can't speak for anyone else but even if Tebow is cut today , I'll root for the Patriots to do well the rest of my life . The organization is pure class and so are most of their fans. Tebow was given a fair and big opportunity by the Patriots ( when no other organization would ) and any Tebow fan worth their salt would agree.

Putting him on IR with a case of the Foxboro Flu then if allowed to do so, sending him to work with Jeff Garcia for a year would be a good scenario for Tebow to be in, Garcia was a somewhat decent QB and is getting a rep as a coach so Tebow could learn a lot from being there.

The playoff win where they had a 3 game losing streak to back into the playoffs, with a team riding on defense. Don't forget about the playoff loss where he played like tebow.

David Garrard won a playoff game for the jaguars(against the steelers too!!), so what are you trying to prove with that statement?

Oh here we go with the "they backed into the playoffs" argument. lol.

If you "backed into the playoffs" (which really doesn't mean anything other than you made it into the playoffs) that means you must have done a hell of a lot before that point to be able to lose your last few games and still make it in.

Hey...how can you not be a fan of the classiest NFL team on the block? The more I learn about the head of this monster the more I like 'em. It's like you can't play for the Pats without getting infected with some kickass. I love it.

I'm neither a Tebow booster or basher.

I think he will make the team so I voted yes.
(But won't be surprised if he is cut)

The front office, coaches and teammates seem to be rooting for the guy.
Hard to believe he would make that much of a difference in the locker room?

I dont think last night performance made much of a difference, I say he still gets cut.

And after reading his postgame "faith" quote, I'd cut him even harder. Thats the sort of stuff that would piss me off as a coach.

"Oh it wasn't coaches choice to cut me, it was god." "God wanted me on this team"

Some people really need to just stop vocalizing their faith so much, Acting Like god cares more about you, and playing football, then he did for all those kids that got shot up, or all those people getting killed by their government in syria and egypt. Really Tebow? REALLY? God is putting all this effort into getting you onto a football team, or not putting you on a football team, and all those other people, f those people, why should they be allowed to live. I gotta focus on tebow.

LOL

The dude is the most positive person (possibly in the world) and this is the way you interpret his comments?

This is probably a thread record for a potential 3rd stringer.

there is being positive, and there is standing on a soap box.

If he wants to put his faith out there as much and as often as he does, people are going to respond to it.

There is a massive difference between saying:
"I'm blessed, because of my faith, that I don't have to worry about the future because I know who holds my future. It's something I try to live by. It really gives you a lot of peace in whatever circumstance I'm in."

And: "I'm Blessed, I got to experience some really nice things while here in New England. If it doesn't work out it doesn't work out, I'll keep moving forward, and be happy with whatever the outcome is."

One says i like to earn things, the other says I'm just a passenger, and i'm treated better then other people because some higher power likes me better.

One key fact that must be understood: the same attitude holds in good times and bad. Sickness and health. Freedom and captivity. Rain and shine. Making the roster and being cut. Life and death.

It's an attitude of humility and thankfulness for just being allowed the privilege to live and strive.

You're totally missing the boat (shocker) if you think it's meant to mean God has specifically chosen you for good circumstances (over the unfortunate) because of some merit you have.

Based on what I have seen through last night as a starting QB.
As a second string QB. NO
As a third string QB. NO

Whatever Bill and Josh have in mind I have no idea.

So god does it all randomly?

Not only that but he spent his time off while in high school and college, overseas helping needy people, now he donates a large portion of his money and helps build hospitals for needy kids... has a foundation to help handicap children and works tirelessly with make a wish.
EVERYONE that knows him or associates with him pretty much universally says he talks the talk and walks the walk.

I am sure Chasa does similar stuff on his time off so he has the moral high ground to pontificate on what a horrible selfish delusional human being Tebow is.....

I've settled on my position. While I don't think Tebow has earned a roster spot on the merits, I think he'll make the 53.

From your mouth to BB's ears....

What does "randomly" mean?

One of the big things i hear from the highly religious is that "god has a plan"

For some little children, that plan is getting shot and killed while at school.

For others its getting getting to play football, and than afterwards says how blessed they are that god is looking out for them"

You seem to be saying that its not about god picking and choosing what happens to people, which completely goes against what tebow said.

Maybe i'm just taking what he said wrong, in which case my initial statement still stands, stop trying to be a preacher in every interview, it makes him look like a jackass when there is so much bad happening in the world.
