RB's this year...

I disagree. Winn has shown enough to keep around IMO. Cut Ballard,Tebow and Develin...or whatever it takes.

Washington looked fine to me. If Mallett was any good LW would have had a 70-yard TD reception plus he had a very good punt return.

From what I can see, Ballard looks like he's the best blocking TE on the team this PS, easily. He was out in space against the Lions and not getting beat. I think that's worth a lot when GOAT is your QB.

I agree with Washington. I don't know why so many here are so high on Bolden. He hasn't shown me anything since he came back from PED suspension. Hardly played this preseason and had an awful fumble (and I don't want him anywhere near kick or punt returns).

So many here high on Bolden? Only a handful of posters on the board think he'll even make the team. The overwhelming majority have him cut.

Some think him safe because he was given the night off. His "hidden" talent is his ability to play special teams. We really don't know what will happen. We have 2-3 backup spots and five players who at least some think might make the roster.

PICK 2-3
BLOUNT
BOLDEN
WASHINGTON
DEVLIN
WINN

My picks are Blount, Washington and Bolden. However, I would not be at all surprised with almost anything. To me, Blount is the most likely to stay out of the five.

I have to agree with you here on Bolden. He has not been very impressive this PS. I think they will go Ridley, Vereen, Blount.....and hopefully Winn......one of my binkies this season....but realistically BB is prob going to go with Washington....I do think his PR/KR ability has looked good overall

Winn 15 carries 52 yards for 3.5 average, almost all in game 4 against scrubs.

Bolden 11 carries 58 yards 5.3 average, same as Ridley's 5.3, slightly lower than Blount's 5.7.

Another case of people seeing what they want to see.

I am not a big fan of Bolden. However, Bolden is a better prospect than Winn, and certainly a better choice for the patriots, given his special teams play.

I don't think you are giving people enough credit. You cannot rely strictly on statistics and I think some fans noticed something in Winn.

I'm not gaga over Winn, but he did demonstrate some tough running with little room to work. Seems like someone that knows how to move N-S. Worth a PS look anyway.

I would've kept Washington and cut Develin, who is simply not an NFL player on a SB contender.
