Excellent (not a Felger/Borgie tongue bath) Borges interview on WEEI

Ron Borges on his Aaron Hernandez story

Well worth the listen. You ain't in Kansas anymore, Mr. Plagiarism

I was listening to D&C but then when I heard Borges was coming on I turned the station as I always do whenever he makes an appearance on any show. I don't get why people start a new thread everytime he or someone else in the media says something annoying (See Fred Toucher thread).

If it was indeed a good interview it's too bad he can't do that consistently or I'd actually listen to him sometimes.

Apparently (and I didn't listen to the segment) he helped author a story in Rolling Stone magazine on the Hernandez situation with a little bit about the Patriots.

This is a bit more weighty and relevant to the Patriots and current events than Fred Toucher's oral flatulence.
A member of the Boston media actually challenged Borgie.
Love Kirk Minihane. He's actually what Felger claims to be but isn't.

The 9-10 minute mark of the interview is pretty funny how Minihane asks Borges when BB has said/insinuated that the Patriots are "above" other organizations. He had no response, and turned the table on Minihane and asked him if he's 100% sure that BB has never said anything to insinuate such, and then bullied him to move away from the subject. Then attacked Minihane that he's never collaborated on an article when he couldn't fully answer the question on which parts of the story he wrote.

Railed him great on Borges' claim about how the Patriots, and Bill, claim that they do things better than everyone else. THE MEDIA says that, the Patriots never have. And Ronny's pathetic response was (paraphrased) : Can you prove the Patriots never have claimed they're better. So instead of showing what he said was true he asked for someone else to prove it was false.

BORGES SUCKS.

I didn't hear what Toucher said but he's always seemed to me to be a guy who doesn't take himselfd too seriously, doesn't claim to be an expert, and is usually joking around about things.

I literally laughed out loud when Borges praised the work of former security guy Frank Mendes who was replaced and mentioned that Mendes since his release has been doing that type of work for the Archdiocese of Boston. Now, there's an organization that's elite at keeping tabs on its people.

Borges has a long history of apparently falsifying what unnamed sources say. My favorite gotcha against him was when he said multiple sources in the organization favored one of GRR and Kenyatta Jones over the other, because he was BB's guy -- even though in fact BB drafted both of them. And so while I can see one source being dumb enough to make that error, and Borges too, I doubt multiple ones were ...

He also has a long history of other lazy/non-reporting. That he plagiarized out of evident laziness was hardly surprising in that context.

That there are statements in the Rolling Stone piece Ben Volin easily refutes isn't surprising either.

Did Ron Borges just cause Art Shell to get arrested with that interview this morning?

Just asking.

Paying off assassins who were threatening to kill a player without reporting this illegal activity to the police?

Wow.

The whole security thing is one of the phoninest parts of the article. They skim over the fact that this Mendes bloke was replaced more than ten years ago, with no problems since then. And even if the new guy wasnt as informed for some reason, what exactly did the police have on AH that the Patriots didnt know about prior to the Lloyd murder? It's so stupid. It sounds SHOCKING, just like BB meeting with AH and telling him to stay low. But under even light analysis it has no controversy to it.

Could he be a more amateur pathetic POS? ANyone could see through that, what an a-hole!

Aren't Borges and Frank Mendes friends?

What I do not get in the piece done by Borges is who gave the info regarding that BB was going to let AH go unless he straightened out??

BB would probably not divulge a private conversation with a player, let alone to Borges??

AH was not available.. so could it have been hearsay that he reported??

Borges is a useless tool.. maybe he can punch some cripple, oh wait a minute.

Agreed.
And Borges certainly does get touchy when his "facts" are questioned..as well he might since he can't cite a source or back up his claims. A huge pos indeed.

In years of listening to BB pressers, I've never heard him say anything about "The Patriot Way."

Hey, if you cannot plagiarize, might as well make up stuff.

Obviously I don't know the man personally, but Borges comes off like the world's biggest d*ck. I mean, seriously. I wish Minehan (sp?) would have pressed the issue further because Borges' logic was just atrocious, as you describe here (and I heard the interview).

He actually asked Minehan if he had combed through every statement ever made by Belichick, and if not, how would he know that Belichick never said that the Pats do things better/differently? It was SUCH a dumb thing to say, but in Borges-land, I guess that qualifies as intelligent.

Obvious Borges joke is obvious. :singing:

Using his own rationale, how do we know that Ron Borges has never put on a KKK robe and burned a cross on someone's lawn? There is no way to prove he has never done that.

What complete idiot he is. The fact that this buffoon is allowed to spew such things unchallenged is the sad reality of the incestuous media in Boston (and no, Minehan/Callahan only mildly challenged, Borges immediately went personal and nuclear on Minehan - and then they both cowered. Callahan only emerged again on the subject after Borges got off the phone).
