Training Camp Thread 8/13/2013

Sorry pal...its not always about you. I was responding to Vrabel Jr, basically agreeing with him. Never even read your post.
As far as your wonderful "rational argument"....please....The "you don't know the future so you could be wrong" is fascinating analysis. Keep up the quality. In the future, If I quote you followed by a reply, then that is a pretty clear indication that I was addressing you. Projecting that every post must be about you will drive you nuts.
As far as the "there are few people on this board more wrong, more often than you" ...please enlighten me on my errors....now that would be a post of yours that might have some value beyond the usual pom poms and "you don't know the future" garble.

Maybe if I care enough, I cull through your stupidity all last year and pull out a few gems.

You Pats haters who act like Pats fans (and might be stupid enough to think you are) are all the same. You constantly biatch and moan about how horrible the Pats are and talk about all the mistakes they have been made and disapear when things go well and can never admit you are wrong.

I figured you were talking about me because I responded to Vrabel Jr's post saying that this year MIGHT be different and laid out reason why which clearly was far too advanced for you to grasp so let me dumb it down for you:

McCourty cover Jackson 2011
McCourty short
Talib cover Jackson 2013
Talib tall

Do I need to dumb it down more for you?

The fact is no one knows what is going to happen this season. You choose to focus on me saying that than the information behind it where I say that this year might be different than in the past with Jackson and bring nothing to the conversation. I shouldn't expect anymore from a troll like you.

If you want me to be definitive which is silly until we see what the Pats will do on defense when they actually scheme, I will say that Jackson will not kill the Pats this year. He might have a small handful of plays where he does really well, but it will be nothing like the past.

I was at the practice today and it didn't look like Jenkins got that many reps

Assuming the rookies don't get hurt or turn to sludge, He may end up on our Shadow Roster, if he doesn't get picked up by a desperate team like SD.:rocker:

I've watched Vincent Jackson torch us in person twice while he was in San Diego. He'll probably own us again.

Yeah

Jackson was such a "torch", the Charges only lost by a small three scores!!!!

Someone give this one a sign and send him on his way.

I've been busy at work today, but from the sounds of it, it doesn't appear as if the Pats were as sharp in practice today as they were last week against the Eagles. Dobson in particular. Hopefully, they bounce back tomorrow with a solid one.

When the season ended, I was concerned about one area on this team, THE SECONDARY. To this point, I am still concerned.

Today I learned that we don't know the future but Rob0729 does.

What about when he torched us and we lost by 20 points?

You can't seriously be referencing a game five years ago in the Matt Cassel era as a logical comparison to ANYTHING that will happen this year?

Only two defensive players remain on the current roster from five years ago:

Mayo
Wilfork

Not at all. I was just dispelling the notion that VJax only put up a huge stat line against us because we beat them by three scores.

Against a defense that was 95% different players. In other words, irrelevant.

Kindof a rainy day, it wasn't that bad though. Slight drizzle.

-The offense struggled early on. They picked up later and Sudfeld was the main target on one of the drives. Him and Amendola carried the offense today.

-Dobson owned Johnthan Banks from what I could see. I disagree that he struggled, he did well on the 1 on 1s against the Bucs.

-Thompkins fell down on a 30 yard pass in the rain, coaches weren't too happy. Besides that, another good day with great route running and awareness.

-Boyce had another rough day IMO. Not much separation and his awareness when the ball is coming to him still seems poor.

-The Mesko/Allen race continues. Allen can punt it farther, but Mesko's better at pinpointing his punts for the coverage teams.

-The Bucs CB Leonard Johnson was pretty good. The only CB I've seen stop the Thompkins slant in practice. Banks looked rough. Wish Revis was practicing.

-Couldn't really see the defense for most of the practice against the Bucs O.

-When they came over for situations, I thought the D did a solid job without Dennard. Freeman would of got sacked on some throws.

-Gostkowski was perfect 4/4 on the situations with 20 seconds left and 1 timeout.

-Edelman got in a shoving match/words were exchanged with some Bucs secondary player, besides that, a clean practice.

Jackson will probably turn in a good game when we play them this year. Most good WR's tend to have good games, especially against secondaries that are suspect (which Greg Bedard noted today in a tweet that the safety position next to McCourty is still unsettled). The key, IMO, will be not to let Martin beat us.

I thought it was highly significant that Armistead was in sweats and on the field. He like Gronk, is still PUP-able, until he dons a uniform at practice. But it likely means he is now capable of conditioning exercizes, to get into shape, if not football shape, and can attend classes. It also means that ALL the significant players, are at or near being able to return to practice, with a full month of TC before the season.

I'm not sure how this is supposed to be some kind of insight from Bedard, it's ldo to anyone who has been following the team so far. And it's not "unsettled" because it's going to be worse than last year, it's only unknown right now because it's possible that we may have better guys on the roster than Gregory.
