Well I didn't want to just come out and ask if you are a special needs person.

"3YPC and a cloud of dust" and "good runner" are opposites.

I meant 3 yards and a cloud of dust... and that's damn good on 4th and 1 against a stacked box... which is something he's proven he can do time and time again. No... 3 ypc is not great... good thing he's well above 5.

Yup... I'm sure that's it

I'm hoping that's sarcastic, but given the logic of your other arguments, you probably actually believe it.

Of course its sarcastic, I gave my reasoning for why tebow is on the 90 man roster a little earlier.

Not if it's 4th and goal at the 2 it isn't.

was Mike Allstott not a good runner? 11 years on the Bucs as a "3ypc and a cloud of dust" runner.

Go away? What are you five? Get over yourself. Calling him out on his BS.

Not a lot of football talk by this poster, mostly personal insults:

Wrong my friend. I'm a multi-tasker who can talk football AND insult people at the same time in most cases.

What football do you want to discuss ? How Brady might actually have a better year with this WR group that he did last year ? How Welker's numbers will probably drop in Denver ? How Welker's career seriously benefited from the Pat's "system" and having TFB as his QB ?

Talking about the calendar is derailing this thread and has no place here in a discussion about football. If you two want to discuss it go to the off topic board, or shut up.

Go away
Shut up

Brilliant debating skills.

if by Well above 5 you mean 5 on the dot after 3 years then okay His rushing and passing combined averages out to be 97.5(69.2 passing, 28.3 rushing) per game.

Let me repeat that because its kind of mind boggling, Tebow Offensively averages under 100 total yards per game. thats rushing and passing, COMBINED.

Compared to Bradys 250+ yards per game just throwing.

I think you would be hard pressed to find a QB who offensively averages less then 100 yards per game total running and passing. I dont have the time to find every broncos game he played in to see their Total offensive output, but i dont think they were running for 250 yards a game, not including tebows God like 28.3 yards avg

It wasn't you I was referring to.

To get those numbers, you have to be including the games with the Jets where the idiotic coaching staff used him for approximately 2 plays per game on average. ANYONE's numbers will seriously drop in that situation, especially when you are looking at X per game stats.

Belichick may not keep Tebow. But what if he does? If BB keeps him, there is a reason for it.
Well if Bill does keep him the only reason I can think of is that BB took up smoking crack in the off season. Why else would any head coach/ gm waste a roster spot on a guy who is a tweener? Crappy mechanics and slow to read a play to be a quarterback. Too slow to play running back. Cant catch the ball so he can't play TE. At best, he's a special teams player. Couldn't tell you what kind of tackler or blocker he is, never seen him do either. How can anyone defend him being on the final roster is beyond me.

thats fair, let me remove those 2-3 total plays.

Okay removing the Jets hes a more respectable 132 yards of total offensive output. Or as brady puts it, the first half of an off game.

Let me get this straight, Tebow is a good runner because hes a lot like a fullback(almost extinct because its inefficient) from 7 years ago?

Still off. For what you are talking about, you really need to look at the games he started and had serious playing time.

In 2011, he had 11 starts, threw for 1651 yds and ran for 623. Total yards is 2274. Divide that by 11 and it comes to 206.72

Your not good at statistical analysis are you? You can't possibly try to add Tebow's yards per game last season with the Jets to give an accurate comparison to quarterbacks who play full games and not just one meaningless snap are you?

Tebow averaged exactly 228 yards per game while starting for Denver. Not great but not bad either. far cry from your 97 BS. Try again

Here's the numbers per game:

2010:

Oakland: 138p + 78r = 216
Houston: 308p + 27r = 335
San Diego: 205p + 94r = 299

2011:
Miami: 161p + 59r = 220
Detroit: 172p + 63r = 235
Oakland: 124p + 118r = 242
Kansas City: 69p + 43r = 112
New York Jets: 104p + 68r = 172
San Diego: 143p + 67r = 210
Minnesota: 202p + 13r = 215
Chicago: 237p + 49r = 286
New England: 194p + 93r = 287
Buffalo: 185p + 34r = 219
Kansas City: 60p + 16r = 76
Pittsburgh: 316p + 50r = 376
New England: 136p + 13r = 149

Total: 3649
Average: 228

And this is what happens... These aren't great numbers and its ridiculous that I even need to post them... They don't indicate anything special... except to defend against the hyperbole and fake stats like Chasa posted saying he averaged less than 100 yards a game... which is a huge misrepresentation. I'm not here to say Tebow is great... he's not... but i'm not going to let people misrepresent him and post bogus numbers like that without adequately refuting them for what they are... bogus.

Some might call it hubris or arrogance, but there's a decent enough chance that BB and or McDaniels thinks that they can do a better job developing Tebow than Fox/McCoy and Rex/Sparano did.

Here's something that's rather telling in my opinion. It would be different if BB/McDaniels were just taking a shot on a player that they wanted previously but missed in the draft. That would be somewhat of a blind decision.

Thing is though, McDaniels drafted Tebow. He worked with Tebow in camp while he was still the HC in Denver. That gave him a heck of a lot more information that a pre draft workout, or watching someone from the outside.

This tells me that at the very least, Josh sees something there. Whether Bill sees the same kind of things, or if he's acquiesced to Josh's what Josh wanted is somewhat unknown.

Well then, if tebow makes the 53 man roster we can just ignore any stats he has because he wasn't the starter.

Good to know you guys are future proofing your "don't hate tebow because he's awful, look at just these 11 games from 3 years ago" argument.
