Oh, Deion... Come'on dude.. REALLY?

Deion said "HE (AH) is a Great guy!"

Is he guilty of murder yet? No, he's "just" being held without bail because the evidence against him is significant. This reminds me of when all the stonards from UMASS went on and on about how great of a guy Johkar Tsarnaev is. He isn't guilty of murder (yet) either but...seriously people? Just because someone is friendly to you doesn't make them a great person. Neither of these two alleged murderers is a great person regardless of what their juries find.

All I can say is come on dude... Your title to this thread sucks

Try something like...oh

Deion Branch surprised by Hernandez conviction..Or something like that

Try something like...oh,

Not telling me what to name my threads.

Point of this thread is this...

Deion is entitled to his opinion, and I respect that. My opinion is, some things are better left unsaid. Especially to the media in the wake of something this big.

"It's a tragedy all the way around, and I'd rather not comment on that."

Sounds much better than...

"That's My Guy, man. That's my Guy. He was a great person."

That's just my opinion though... and like Deion (and everyone posting here) im entitled to it.

Im not "outraged", "offended", or bothered in any way what so ever by what Branch said. I just think he came off as naive at BEST and flat out dumb at worst.

Side Note: Branch is one of my favorite Pats WR's of all time. And I go back almost 30 years with this team.

Hate to cross paths with Deions definition of a "BAD" guy. :bricks:

Nobody is all good or all bad. I'm sure Ahern showed his "good side" with his wife and child and certain others like Deion. Deion just shared his personal impressions of the guy from what he knew at Foxboro. No big deal either way.

Man says a few nice things about a friend while being respectful of horrible circumstances: film at 11.

I'm sure Ahern showed his "good side" with his wife and child .

You mean other than how, instead of having tens of millions of dollars and having him around, they'll be broke and not have him around? I don't see Ahern as the type of Dad/Husband that gets up in the middle of the night to change diapers.

First off, Ahern is not guilty at the moment, though plenty of circumstantial evidence points to him being a thug. That said, Branch has not yet reconciled the new information with his previous opinion of Ahern, doing that is emotionally painful, psychologists refer to it as cognitive dissonance.

You'll often find that people try to avoid it by doubling up on their particular Kool-Aid when more of that new information becomes available. This is often the case with people who support a highly touted politician they expect to be the messiah, they become even more devout when it becomes apparent that politician is not all they're cracked up to be.

Normally I would be more than willing to give the defendant the presumption of innocence but in this case Hernandez, at a minimum, was responsible for setting up the murder, it simply does not happen if he doesn't call his friends up to come to Attleboro and then calls and texts Lloyd to come out and go with them. I see no way around these facts and because of them consider him guilty whether he pulled a trigger or not. at the bare minimum this happened at Hernandez behest, and that is giving him the benefit of the doubt that he didn't pull the trigger. I gave Hernandez the benefit of doubt until the state laid out their case against him minute by minute, and although the defense hasn't presented their case it is almost impossible to conceive of this murder taking place without Hernandez setting it up.

Try something like...oh,

Starting your own thread if you dont like my thread title.

Point of this thread is this...

Nope.

If he started a separate thread to complain about the title of this thread, it would be merged into this thread as a redundant subject.

PFiP did the right thing.

Coming off as a DB isn't the "right" thing as far as im concerned.

But I fixed it.

Someone said he's not a murderer until he is found guilty.

That person should rethink the ontology of being a murderer...

So I am a douche bag because you come up with a lame title of a subject that no one has any idea of by reading it in the forum?

Puhlease.......

I could see your next title in reference to training camp start coming in a few weeks...such as...

"Well our boys are back outside and looking all sweaty in that heat"

Yes, I mean other than all that.

The way you titled this thread seems to show that you ARE bothered or offended by what he said.

Deion is the one who spent time with Hernandez, not you. He has a right to say whatever he wants to. He never spent time with Hernandez away from the team, so he is of course surprised to see that someone who he genuinely liked has done something so horrendous.

All this talk and the guy hasn't even been proven of ****.

Lol....

I don't see anything wrong with what he said. He's obviously talking about the Aaron Hernandez he knows. He was also respectful of the victims and their families.

I think Hernandez had a lot of people fooled. Even now he is being described as a model inmate who is extremely polite and courteous by the sherif.

Deion is a family man who likely never engaged in off the field activities with Hernandez so he never saw him in his element.
