Go Bruins ... hard to see how this series can be tougher but it will be more physical and grinding. I expect the Bergeron line to have a better series now that they are playing a bit slower team.

B's General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Torey Krug from Providence.

It looks like Seidenberg's injury might keep him out for awhile.

That blows big time ... luckily Bartkowski and Hamilton are not scrubs anymore.

this will be a tough series to win. Lundquist is outstanding and our offense is not playing that well

Nice game by the rook. Jagr needs a six hour energy boost!

what a sweet win. I think they are zoned in good now. jagr reminds me of rechi 2 yeas ago. hopefully the flood gates will open for him if he gets one because hes been very very close. hes found the post a couple of times.

4 shots for the Bs found the post tonight. Who does Marchand remind you of? A buddy of mine thinks he's the reincarnation of Yvan Cournoyer.

How well did the Bruins play toward the end of the 3rd and into the OT period! I wish they would move the puck around and throw some more shots during their Power Play. The Bruins look so much better when they play instinctive hockey opposed to mechanical and processed hockey.

They seemed tentative because of the two rookie defensemen. They were playing to the Ranger's style too. The next game should be more open with up & down play. OT was great!

That was a general comment Frezo. When the Bruins let loose (especially on the PP) and started attacking Lundqvist and the Rangers they looked phenomenal. Outside of some fine goal tending and the posts saving the Rangers time and time again, it was nice to see a performance that wasn't anaemic. This team has so much potential and at times they look lazy and sloppy. Hopefully, they can bring their best hockey for the rest of the playoffs as that will make them an incredibly difficult out.

The first period was so slow and boring. It was like the Garden was sleeping. Now that the teams have a feel for each other, the next game should rock from the start. It's a good thing Boychuck survived that hit. ...close call

just got back from the game...great W 1 down :rocker:

???? Aus mentioned how the B's played in the late third and OT. Unless I misunderstand your response to his post, you said the B's played tentative during that stretch of time? The B's played lights out in that time span though especially dominating in the OT period. The post and crossbar kept the Rangers in the game during that time (seriously, how sweet would that win have been if the B's scored with a tenth of a second left in the third??).
If the B's can play half of each game like they did in OT? This will probably be a sweep. Unfortunately I just don't see that as likely...

Regardless, great win! It's always sweet to start the series off on the right foot...

Nice strategy by Claude ...

for now he's trying to draw the Rangers out a bit ... Tottorella is very stubborn ... this will be fun to analyze.

Lundqvist is a great goalie ... confusion or what he can't see is best way to score he makes few to no mistakes.

Bruins had 48 shots on goal and 24 of them were from the D.

Rangers had 35 shots on goal and 25 of them were from forwards.

Claude has 3 rookies on D ... however they all are strong offensively.

Expect to see Claude stay with this strategy which also helps negate break outs.

During OT, the Bruins looked like the Stanley Cup winning Bruins. They need to bring that concentration and application for longer than 10 minutes a game. It should be interesting to see if they can.

I hate the two days in between games Its killing me!

What an incredible two games. Heart attack city going on here lately. 11 wins away.

5-2 :rocker::rocker:
