Man you're lazy

How much will Woodhead cost?

3x3 million

Woodhead is one of my favorite players but unless its really cheap I think our depth at RB means he is gone.

someone will pay higher than that.

Whether its acceptable to him. We'll see.

I don't think so, I don't think Bush will get much more than that.

3 years 6 mill, and he got his pension. .

3 for 7 plus some groupons for shoelifts.com

My guess is 2 years and $3MM. IIRC that would double his current deal and still keep him under $2MM/yr. Sounds fair for a guy who will most likely wouldn't be taking more than 30% of the RB snaps at best.

BTW- I read one report that thought he'd get a BJGE kind of deal (3 years and 9MM), which is ridiculous for a guy who would likely be taking only about a quarter of your RB snaps.

Food for thought: we've made a lot of Faulk/Woodhead comparisons. After finishing his rookie deal, the Pats gave Faulk a six-year(!), $15M contract.

3 years - 1.9, 2.1, 2.5 with $2.7 million guaranteed. Kevin Faulk money. And that's being generous.

He's a change of pace back, and moderately fast little back. He carried the ball 76 times in 16 games for 304 yards - not even 3 carries per game. He had two double digit carry games.

Woodhead had 40 receptions so 2.5 screens a game. He's Kevin Faulk.

Faulk's last deal was $910k all guaranteed.

At a time when Woodhead had already established himself as Faulk 2.0. They gave him a $2M+ contract for 2010 ($1M signing bonus, $1M salary, $1M incentives).

Faulk got $1.95 signing bonus and $6.05 guaranteed, roughly $1 million/year.

He gave back $250k of that for getting caught smoking pot - the most expensive joint in history.

He had a bunch of workout bonuses and other incentives in that deal.

Where did you get that? He's never hit the cap for more than $899,000

Here's Miguel's cap page for 2010 to 2012:

"Danny Woodhead's 2010 salary is $395,000. $395,000 divided by 17 times 16 weeks that Woodhead is scheduled to be on the Patriots 53-man roster.
March 11, 2011 update - The Boston Herald's Ian Rapoport blogged on November 25th that "Woodhead has signed a contract that keeps him in New England through 2012. It was finalized on Nov. 19. He received $425,000 as a signing bonus to go with his $395,000 in 2010 salary. He’s slated to earn $550,000 in 2011 and $700,000 in 2012, along with play-time incentives worth a possible $575,000 next year and a possible $600,000 in 2012"

Sorry for the ambiguous pronoun. Faulk got the $2M+ deal in 2010. In 2011, after the Patriots knew they had a potential replacement in Woodhead, Faulk got the $910K deal.

Ridley,Vereen, Bolden

Demps still under contract.

Woody should come at a reasonable price. 3 yrs at 1.5-2mil/year.

He will test mkt and if nobody blows him away with an offer, he should be a Patriot for the next few years.

JMHO

Indy give Luck a little checkdown present?
lots of cap space. I'd do that if I were them.
