I might be the biggest Moss fan this side of Teenuh, but even I'll easily admit that the Moss/Patriots ship sailed a long time ago. He's not coming back. Given the choice between him and Stallworth in training camp, I'd probably prefer Stallworth.

No just no, Randy any day over Stallworth. I'm a huge Moss fan too but I don't want to see him come back now. I'm just happy to have the memories of 2007.

people really think he is coming back?

Stallworth deserves another shot just based on that one touchdown.
He still has a little speed left. Moss could still go downfield and catch
an 8 yard pass like Lloyd.

I agree with you 100%.....would LOVE To see Stallworth get another shot next year....that one catch showed me the guy still had it!!! Can he repeat it again??? He would come very cheap and knows the system....I;m sure he will get a shot....

i don't get the stallworth love becasue of that 1 catch. He gets hurt..a lot

There will never be anyone like him... I still appreciate the GOAT WR season in '07, regardless of how it all ended. Vikings fans probably like him even more than we do. I just hope he keeps it together post-football and we don't hear about anything scary or sad.

I don't think we will. he is a smart guy IMO. He has grown up since his early years or arrests

Word. I saw Sam Aiken make one of the best catches ever but no one was calling for his return

Best WR the Patriots ever had or will ever have.

Too bad the douches in the media decided to drive him out of town.

Randy Moss, one trick pony, go deep (if no one contests him at the line of scrimmage).
He ran himself out of town with his narcissistic whining, lack of effort on the field. He had one really good year 2007, almost quit in 08 when Brady got hurt but came around and from their on out it was down hill. I have no respect for him. He couldn't carry Stanley Morgan or Wes Welker's jock strap.

Like others have posted, I would take Welker and Morgan over Moss.

Do we really think Moss lost THAT much skill, or is it mostly effort and trust from a team? I'm not saying one way or another, but whats your thoughts? Obviously, no one will be as good as 07 Moss, but thats a huge drop off. Or is it like what most thought when Moss was in Oak, that he lost it, but really he just didnt try as hard.

SF Wasn't a good place for him. They misused him a lot due to kap and his running style in that O

I don't know if there are any good places that would be a good fit for him at this point in his career.

SF wasn't a good fit, but it was much better than many people thought it'd be, and it blew away the last couple/few places he'd been. At least they actually had him starting as a WR2 for awhile.

I don't imagine any place that's going to have him as anything more than a WR3 guy at this point. He's not a possession receiver who will move the chains and go over the middle--he never was. That leaves a very limited role for him as a bit/role player who maybe sees some looks in the red zone etc.

I don't think we'll ever really know the full potential of Moss in NE simply because Brady went down in '08. They had most of the pieces in place on offense from 2007 and the bad taste in both Brady's and Moss' mouths could have led them to put up some more eye-popping numbers over an incredibly weak schedule. A 13-win season was easily within reach. But history took over, and it wasn't meant to be.

By the time Brady came back, that offense was not the same. Adalius, losing Samuel, etc. all played important roles, but Brady essentially lost two years off his career with that injury and who knows how it could have played out.

Moss will go down as one of the greatest WRs ever. But at this point in his career he might think of hanging them up. I don't see many teams willing to give him a bigger role than he had in SF who will be in playoff contention.

HMMM. Oakland wasn't a good fit. New England wasn't a good fit. Minnesota wasn't a good fit (twice). Tennessee wasn't a good fit. SF wasn't a good fit. There are still 20+ teams that he might fit with.

Glad he is not the problem.
