Terrell Suggs: ‘I guarantee the other 31 teams hate the New England Patriots’

I find it hard to believe the Suggs' comments should have ANY traction among the legitimate press. Among the 'pot stirrers', well that's another story. I'm sure Felger will try and make a huge story and will spend the next week making it a big deal.

Here's how you should respond. "Mike" if what Suggs says has ANY validity, then how come EVERY player who comes here does nothing but rave about the football atmosphere while they are here, and even when they are gone, even guys like Moss, Law, Branch, Ocho, etc... who all left under less than ideal circumstances, still raved about their Patriots experiences. That goes from the so called stars, to Jags like Chatham and Zolack."

"So Mike, one one side you have a raving lunatic like Suggs with a violent past and a biased agenda, and on the other side dozens upon dozens of past and present players who have completely debunked everything he's said. What I'd like to knolw is why in the world when you KNOW all this, can you give ANYTHING this moron says even a scintilla of credence. In fact, Mike, doesn't your own actions of giving him a platform to spread his libel make YOU look like a moron.

BTW- if "everyone" thought the way Suggs thought, why would his teammate of so many
years, Ed Reed, state publically that he'd love to play of the Pats and BB."

Well at least that's what I'd say, if I bothered to take the time to call in. ;)

Not sure if you consider ESPN reporters legitimate but James Walker and Jamison Hensley agreed with a lot of what Suggs said.

I don't consider them reporters either; they're opinion writers. Sadly that distinction is blurred considerably these days, so opinions are repeated as facts. These guys know that yet they hide behind "hey it's just my opinion" when they know that's not how it will be repeated. You'd think one "reporter" would ever care to set the record straight on the history of the Palmer Rule and the Tuck Rule. Reiss must cringe when he sees the crap his cohorts come up with.

Anyway, like Brady says: Tall trees get high winds.

By the way, I was surprised by this:
Suggs was making the radio rounds Wednesday to promote "The Coalition," a movie he co-wrote. It's a romantic comedy about "four women who band together to get revenge on four young, successful players because the guys mistreated them in some way."

Serious question: Is Suggs taking part in this movie as part of a sentence court order or probation conditions or something?

i was not aware that teams were friends and liked each other.

This is highlander style *****es, there can only be one.

also if teams REALLY hated the pats they wouldnt be holding training camp scrims with them

I guarantee that Suggs is a neanderthal ******* ****** who somehow still can't get over his inferiority complex even after winning a Super Bowl. Go figure.

Still talking about us, huh?

It's pretty funny how we get under his skin.

It amazes me how recycled the same stories get about the patriots. The Carson Palmer rule is 99% of the time called the "Brady" rule. This is by sports announcers and media alike.

So it comes to the Patriots it's a majority
1. Spygate = cheaters
2. Taping walk-throughs/practices
3. Brady rule, hence he gets all the calls

To a lesser extend
4. People don't like BB
5. Taking any context and trying to twist it to a negative (Brady contract)

The reality is, BB has the organized so tight lipped that new material nevers get posted. There are plenty of Patriot supporters in the media, but their voice is drowned out by the vocal majority.

The reality is, they could all script responses to items 1-4 and just refute any position on this, but they don't or you get overboard homers taking up the chant (rather than someone with a balanced perspective).

People still tend to confuse on-air personalities with sports reporting. Reporting would be balanced and backed up with facts. on-air personalities adopt a stance and play to that...it's all about ratings. I imagine there was a time about 25 or so years ago when reporting started to get replaced with personalities. Started with talk shows and made its way into all forms of main stream media.

What does it mean? People are either sheep or just like to complain alot, too focused on the negative (like our friend Suggs). He should be living high on the hog after winning the ultimate prize for his sport. instead, he's talking about us.

Now, how about them Yankees.

Heath Evans goes to bat for the Pats:

He’s an absolute fool. He is,” Evans said. “Maybe he’s one of the best pass-rushers that we’ve seen in a long time, but he’s a fool if doesn’t believe that [teams respect the Patriots]. For me, I say things that I believe in. … I just speak the truth. And the truth is, people are scared to death when they step on the field to face Bill Belichick, Tom Brady, Wes Welker, a healthy [Rob] Gronkowski, a healthy Aaron Hernandez, defensively Jerod Mayo is one of the best middle linebackers in this game, Vince Wilfork, there is no match for him.

“Terrell Suggs, shut your mouth and speak the truth. Are you a heck of a player? Absolutely, an amazing player. But give me a break. I watch this film, I watch how people move and react according to what the Patriots do. I watch this whole league sit back and try to copy them. Heck, [Ravens tight ends] Ed ****son and Dennis Pitta is a formula of what New England is trying to do.

“So, give me a break. Don’t just get on airways and speak nonsense. Watch game tape, know this game inside and out, and then speak your opinion based on facts that are truly evident to everyone across this business, that knows this business inside and out. When people come out speaking that nonsense, it screams of insecurity. It screams of the fact that, ‘Oh my gosh, I can’t believe we actually beat them again, somehow we got lucky and actually did it, and whoo-hoo, and now we’ve got a Super Bowl ring.’ That’s what it says to me.”

Yo, T-Sizzle, you hatin' on the Pats again? Guess what my man? I wouldn't have it any other way! :rocker::rocker::rocker::rocker::rocker:

He still wants to be a New England Patriot .

I was away when this interview took place and I'm still away. My question is this: Has anyone in the media other than Heath Evans challenged this douchebag about those comments?

Of course not...the entire cast of nitwits on NFLN insist the Carson Palmer rule is because Brady cried...they are sub mongoloids hiding in normal looking meat suits

What a gutless bunch of profiles in courage.

Someone needs to point out to Suggs that the absence of a holding call on the last play of the Super Bowl is PROOF that the NFL wanted the Ravens to win and let them cheat to do so.

I concur with Evans, Suggs must be an insecure person. New England's in his head, Tom Brady's in his head. Baltimore got their "revenge" against New England this season and they'd won the Super Bowl. Why can't he shut his mouth now?
