Good call. I've already got my game tickets.

We're not getting beat.

Do Gisele and Tom eat their honey nut cheerios out of tomato cans?

Probably, they're both very into the environment and being green...reusing tomato cans so they do not need to buy plastic cereal bowls is right up their alley.

Anyways, I was also looking into booking a hotel in NOLA since I live within a vague driving distance (Tampa). However, once the hotels released those dates the prices went up and rooms got booked so quickly I was shut out. I'd love to go up for the week before the Super Bowl if the Pats get in or not just for the experience.

For SB XXXI I was in Tech School at Keesler AFB. A guy I knew had a car, we drove to New Orleans the day before the Super Bowl and did the Canal Street thing...it was just incredible. Pats fans everywhere, beads flying around, drinks being bought and just handed out to strangers on the streets. I would imagine now at 34 I would enjoy different parts of it, but I bet it is still one hell of a good time.

I really don't like talking about this because we have two very hard matches to come just to make it to New Orleans but this is something that will take a lot of planning, keeping in mind I plan on getting over from Australia SHOULD the Pats get there. I've already placed a deposit of like 20 US dollars on a youth Hostel pretty close to down town New Orleans, so if I lose out 20 bucks that's nothing.

The main question I have if anyone could help is how quickly do tickets sell out on re sale sights like StubHub and even on NFL.com for the SB? And yes I know I'd be paying through the nose but this is a life long dream of mine.

Tickets are available on stub hub up till game time, and I would wait till then. Me and my mom went for the first time last year and bought our tickets in a frenzy right after the Cundiff missed field goal. By game day tickets in the same section 10 rows closer to the field were 50% of the price we paid! We will be waiting it out this year.

It's kind of scary though, flying half way across the world (IF WE MAKE IT!) not having a ticket until I get there.

Very true, in your case I would look at stub hub in the section you want to sit everyday and pull the trigger when the ticket price is within your price range. The piece of mind is worth the extra dough given that your traveling from so far away.

I wouldn't worry about it. Sounds like there will be a lot of Patriot fans in New Orleans with nothing to do. Shouldn't be too hard for y'all to get together & find something to do.

Bourbon Street is always popular, 24/7 party.
