Who was the real SB MVP: I go for Colts OC Moore.
In the very first Indy Drive even as the announcer is saying that Peyton had told him their game plan was to go underneath and take anything the Bears would give them. Peyton just can't resist and thinks the 'laser whatever arm' can complete anything and throws the deep ball INT.
Subsequent to that drive there is a significant shift in play calling for the rest of the game. The RUN % is higly exaggerated.
If you count all the passes to the RBs in the flat or screens as just extra RB handoffs without Peyton having to make any hard reads or decisions and the numbers go up even further. The way I see it; Peyton WENT OFF THE RESERVATION ON THE GAME PLAN; so the OC REIGNED HIM IN FOR THE REST OF THE GAME.

The Running back passes = 11/60 = 18%
Does that sound like the normal Indy offense with Peyton throwing the ball. It really appears to me that the reason Indy was able to win (EXCLUDING THE OBVIOUS TOTAL INCOMPETENCE OF CHICAGO TO MOVE THE BALL AT ALL) was that they essentially took Peyton out of the game at least MENTALLY. They put him into position where he didnt have to make any decsions.
Now I know some will say that those RB passes were Peyton making decisiosn and just going to his check downs. But my recollection is that almost all of them were scripted plays to go to those guys coming out of backfield. They were the PRIME RECEIVER.
IMO if chicago had been MINIMALLY competent to move the ball and take advantage of the INTs and FUMBLEs and Hestors free 7 pts; then the Colts would have had to make Peyton MAKE SOME PLAYS. Then who knows.
I just think looking at the numbers that it makes no sense to identify Peyton as the MVP if they couldn't rely on him to do his job. And the evidence to me says they could not.
But it is all over and done with. Just one more trophy for the Manning Media Machine.
