That's it. We didn't need Chad Jackson to be a number one. Hell,we didn't need him at all. We didn't need Maroney to run for 1500 yards,we had it all with Faulk,Dillon,LM and Pass.

All we needed was a couple of healthy extra bodies laying around that weren't off the practice squad or street. I really appreciate our 3 Super Bowls even more now that I see how many good breaks need to come your way.

Harrison,Sanders,Seau,Wilson,Gay,Colvin,Faulk,Pass just to name a few that were missing, some of, if not all the Colt's game. We will be back with a vengeance next season. The chances of this many injuries coming our way again are very low unless we're talking Murphy's Law.

What a great season despite the outcome. Can't wait for the draft.

We had reasonable depth coming in but lost some even before the season started, like Gay and Gardner. It's very, very unfortunate that we were so close to holding off the Colts despite the brutal combination of injuries and flu. A few of those plays that cost us the game will stay with me forever.

But it is what it is.

Spoken like a true Belichick clone.

I also think we're all Belichick clones at this point.

lol...i think ive read this SAME EXACT post the last 4 or 5 years in regards to the "we couldnt possibly get this bad luck with injuries again"...the simple fact of the matter is that the reason the pats are so good is they play physical, hence all the injuries. it just sucks, honestly if anyone out there has a little extra time, i would LOVE to see the stats for starts missed by starters in the last few years, i think without a doubt the pats are at the top, i cant think of another team that has been absolutely plagued like this

does anyone think it's woicik's fault
im not sure

def the last yr we were healthy was 2001
well
bryan cox got hurt by a denver olineman (big shock)
and there was that one injury
i think a quarterback went down didnt he
somthin like that
but yeah so the last five seasons weve been near or at the top of the worst luck with injuries

Personally, the depth point makes a lot of sense to me. After all, it wasn't Maroney and Chad Jackson who were totally gassed, and just couldn't stop Addai and the Tight Ends (Clark and Fletcher) at the end of the Clots game. It's not so much how badly we need an upgrade, it's more like "eh, upgrade here, upgrade there, whatever we can do... but definitely upgrade depth, always." This team will always need more depth; that much is certain.

We've had our share of luck and favorable calls the last few years. They all even out.

I think the team did great in a year when there was a lot of turnover and a lot of negativity from the press and the fans.

In the end we got beat because we couldn't make a first down or get a third down stop.

Next year's team will be stronger for the growth from 2006.
