I think Rex Ryan is going to scare off most good GMs. Most GMs do not want a head coach who talks too much and cannot coach when the chips are down.

So, had the former GM followed the wishes of the former GM once removed, that team could have had a dynamic young QB (and probably ruined him) instead of the stiff they had under center. That news is out there, and it's clearly the sort of thing that new GMs don't want to read about.
