Poor clock management? I call it back to back possessions unless there is a screw up on the kick off.

You use the time outs when you need them and they didn't. If they didn't score on that play they would have run two plays with two time outs.

It ended up no mattering because the Pats scored a TD. But there have been a few games this year where there was questionable clock management at the end of the first half. The Seattle game is one that comes to memory.

It just seemed like the clock got down to ~ 20 seconds with the team still having 3 time outs.

Especially if the vikings win, Texans go to Indy next week where it will probably be Pagano's first game back.

With the Texans losing, they have to play for real. They have a shot at the first round bye if the Texans lose today because the Colts might be able to beat the Texans next week.

Great job by the defense to limit the damage on the turnovers. Aside from the propensity to give up huge plays, the defense actually is playing well.

Nice to see the offense score a touchdown.

Talk about padding your stats. IT wasn't ridiculous to try and move the ball into the Pats territory for a hail mary at the end. What was ridiculous was throwing 2 short passes that had only 2 possible outcomes. One- to pad your stats. Two - get your receivers killed.

Tied at the half. Not a bad position considering how badly the Pats played to start the game. Offense seems to be clicking now, I expect us to score to start the second half and never look back.

Pats must realize by now they are in for a fight, and I look for them to focus and play their best in the second half.

That's why I skip this thread when they are losing. It's bad enough, sometimes, when they are "only" winning by two or three touchdowns (though it's been a while for one of those threads).

Anyway, sure shows why Jax is 2-12. It's not ability to make plays, it's ability to cash in.

Right. I can't see them playing it all-out. But then again, maybe they will. Pagano should be back, and it seems like more teams these days are applying the Giants' approach of playing the games to win and riding momentum into the playoffs. Staying in rhythm might be the best thing for Indy, and what a confidence boost it would be to beat the Texans at home, knocking them out of a bye.
