Sad, stupid, you name it.

Pretty ridiculous when 2 grown men making well over 6 figures a year decide they still wanna live the night life but not hire a driver. C'mon people.

That's awful.

Brent had a prior DUI. Doubly stupid.

I don't want to sound insensitive here, but does being ****-faced behind the wheel make you invulnerable or something? Why does it seem like the drunk drivers are never the ones who die?

Horrendous.

I've lost a loved one to careless ****ers driving.

This is a horrible time for the family of the deceased.

My deepest condolences to them.

I honestly think that any player charged with a DUI should be suspended for a year, and a 2nd DUI gets the player instantly expelled from the NFL.

Wish these guys had heard of Uber.

Well will Costas come out for the reinstatement of prohibition or just banning cars?

When you consider the average "entourage" for an NFL player is, what, 8 and not one could be the designated driver?

I have no proof - asking drunks to get in with the crash test dummies is a government study waiting to happen- where was I.

Oh, yes, apparently being "relaxed" and unlikely to move much afterward helps.

Brown was a practice squad player. He was making a lot less. Bounced around the CFL and AFL before landing with the Colts who cut him and then he landed on the Cowboys PS. A team his college buddy turned roomate had been starting for recently due to injury. A recent tweet indicates he was tired of living the life and wanted to get married and start a family. May have a child on the way. If so this one will really need a fund. I doubt PS players survivors get much in the way of benefits...

I'll never understand why these guys can't wrap their heads around getting the very most out of what is generally a very brief though potentially lucrative career.

No, they don't.

Belcher, the continuing saga of the head injuries and now this... wonder if the defense of this action will have to do with head injuries..

It is at these moments that I wonder about the future of the NFL...

Why should NFL football players lose their job but not butchers, bakers or candlestick makers?

I lost my best friend in a drunk driving accident on Christmas day 40+ years ago, and it still hurts.

Great question.

I can't remember the last time I listened to Little Big Mouth.

Well will Costas come out for the reinstatement of prohibition or just banning cars?

Right, because he called for the banning of all guns, not just better gun control laws.

More awful news

Stupidity knows no boundries. It cross all socio/economic lines. It kills young and old alike. There is no way to stop it, one moment of it can wreck or take a life.
The only defense is planning. Plan your next night out, or it may be your last night out.

R.I.P.
