Edelman can't catch a break (no pun intended)

Ebert and Aiken on Practice Squad. No real defined Vets on the market. Only familiar names are Branch (Hate to knock him, but he isn't serving anyone well), Gaffney (injured and recently suspended for 2 games, so he would have to sit upon signing) and Stallworth (what does he have left)?

If we don't go out and sign a receiver or 2, I expect us to start using the fabled 4 TE set.

Call me crazy, I'd almost go with Aiken first on that list.

Why did we let Salas go again?:bricks:

as long as hes back for the playoffs im good. but man he just cant stay healthy. they better sign welker next year.

I hope they sign Edelman too.

I love him as a player but he DOES seem injury prone.

Because of all the injuries on the OL.

If they try to replace welker with him I fully expect the Julian Glassman threads to start by week 2.

Julian Glassman...real clever. Have you noticed how hard he plays? Belichick, Brady, McDaniels and the other coaches understand how good he is. The fact that a lot of people on this message board don't is, frankly, embarrassing. Logan Mankins is constantly hurt, as is Aaron Hernandez and no one accuses them of being made of glass. It's a double standard and hypocritical.

The fact that Welker was slow to get up several times late in the game is concerning. Letting Salas go was a mistake as were down to two wide receivers. Why can't any competent receivers get cut or perhaps poach some practice squad player.

We should have picked up Burress

Silver lining: Bolden's suspension ends this week.

Last time I checked, Bolden was a running back. Having Bolden back is all nice and great, but we're getting thin up front.

I'm seriously starting to think that this team has been cursed with injuries...

Volmer
Mankins
Gronk
Hernandez (less than 100%)
Edelman
Jones

Who else am I forgetting?

Oh I hope we keep Edelman too. But the number one reason why Edelman will never be able to replace Welker is that he gets hurt too much.

Which is too bad. He is our only deep threat

Couldn't agree more. Edelman plays hard nose football with a mentality of "I don't give a fck of what happens to me as long as we get some yardage here".

Edelman is probably up there with Brady, Welker, and Wilfork when it comes to passion.

Mankins had never missed a game due to injury prior to his ACL injury.

As for Hernandez, you can find the glass man pictures and discussion in a thread about him from earlier this season.

Edelman is hurt every year. THis is a huge problem this season, but also going forward. The team's record drafting wr is terrible, so don't look for help there. Gronkowksi's gotten hurt two years in a row, Hernandez is hurt every year as well. Health at the TE/Receiver position is not one of this team's strong points. I'd love to see them in the playoffs with Gronkowski, Hernandez, Welker, Lloyd, and Edelman all available... I've had my fill of Daniel Fells, and if I see Matthew Slater running pass routes again we're in f#cking trouble...

if half those guys are back by playoff time it wont matter. home field and first round bye are highly overrated anyway.

Crutches = not good. Hopefully he'll return.

Agreed. We're not really "cursed" since these guys SHOULD be back by playoff time, maybe even be back in a week or two.

Ring! Ring! Ring!

Hello Branch, Yes, It's Bill, Practice BE THERE! Yes Sir.

Honestly this is getting ridiculous now with these injuries to Pats players.

Jones, Ras-I, Chung, Mankins, Vollmer, Connoly, Hernandez, Gronk, Bolden, Hightower (for a while with his hammie) and now Edelman.

I know it's all part of the game but geez i would love the pats to have a run like the jets did before this year with little to no injuries at all for almost 2 years to their best players.
