Babin, like every other Eagle, has totally quit on the team. but he did have 18 sacks last season. let's give him a look

SIGN THE BEAST!

I got the impression from the Belistrator ep last season that BB loves him.

Pro bowl and even all-pro to waived in one year?

That was fast.

I am guessing as a vet there is no waivers, so why not?

Definitely take a look. Guy (when motivated a la Corey Dillon, Randy Moss) is a monster and could make QB's lives like Flacco, Schaub, Manning, etc hell. Also have 1 open roster spot and 2 inactive DE's. Claim em' Bill!

Many teams will give him a call and he will want to cash in. I doubt that the Pats have a chance at getting him. Hopefully he goes to a non contender.

Isn't this the guy people were killing the Pats for not signing before last season?

Unless his contract is onerous, someone will pick him up on waivers.

Not a surprise. One trick pony who isn't any good at said trick.

Unless there is some major injury that the general public isn't privy to, I would sincerely hope that the Pats kick the tires here. Babin was pretty good last year and looked pretty good at the beginning of the year this year. As was said, it appears the Eagles, as a team, have completely quit on the 2012 campaign.

He had a great motor a year ago. Dude, definitely needs a change of scenery.

How is Babin not a good pass rusher? The guy has 36 sacks in his last 43 games.

2010: 12.5
2011: 18
2012: 5

a good, a great and an average sack total the last 3 years. I'm sure Belichick could find use for him.

Theres a reason Dillon and Moss chose the Patriots and it wasnt "to cash in".

Dont underestimate the allure of a ring, winning week after week, not losing week after week and even just belonging to a team with its act together... especially to a vet.

Especially with given our current pass rush issues.... (Cunningham suspended and Jones hurt), we should definately give him a look.

The adjectives I'm reading are "preening", "all QB sack-no run support", "Gastineau" (in the worst way possible), etc.

Perhaps kick the tires, but if Chandler's wheel is closed to being back (and Bedard says it is), then I'd avoid.

I'd rather have a run stopper, given the past few games.

Would the Eagles still be on the hook for his payroll?
