It may take him some time to learn the system and PATs may start
him slowly give more and more reps each week.

By which game do you think he will be a starting CB for the PATS

The first one he is eligible for after his ban.

vs. Colts

i.e. ASAFP

I would guess we'll see him come in for some plays in the Colts game (the first game he's eligible to play in), but I wouldn't expect him to start until at least the Jets game, if not the week after.

Starters? In a BB Defense.

Not sure being a start means anything. Especially in the secondary.

Its a corps approach from here on in I'd say.

Could be the first available, could be never, can't tell in NE, lots of guys look to be instant starters and get cut.

One thing for sure, there is pressure on him, traded players and FAs seem to have short leashes here.

CB is probably the easiest position to learn in a defensive system.....this guys a pro, he'll have 3 weeks of practice by that time

he'll start first game available.....the only question is who starts opposite him.....will it be mcourty, or mccourty at safety and dennard opposite

they didn't give up a 4th round pick on a guy who is only signed through the end of the season to 'work him in slowly'

The SB in New Orleans :rocker::rocker::rocker::rocker:

Yup, i view it as situation where they're pretty much going to say: "That is your side of the field, cover whoever lines up across from you, don't let him catch the ball. Best of luck."

They have drafted guys higher than 4th round and did nothing with them. You can't use this measurement here, nothing is certain outside Brady. Its best we just wait and see, not get excited and thus disappointed when Aarington is starting in the divisional round.

How many of those guys walked ontot he field as a pro bowl caliber player?

You're crazy if you think there's a chance they don't put this guy on the field (barring off field issues, of course).

I think they will, but I won't guarantee it considering the moves they have made the last 12 years. Either way BB doesn't look at it like you,he doesn't seem to care what you did in the past PB/SB/whatever.

Just saying that this move means nothing until he is given a chance and shows it, we hyped up Ocho, Haynesworth, Thomas, a lot of guys.

If they had to teach him all of the old zone coverage principles, then it'd be a while. But I think this gives them the opportunity to go with a lot more man coverage, which he should be able to handle right away.

All depends how well he practices, picks up the defensive playbook and earns the players and coaches trust when he is on the field.

It's understood that BB expects him to make an immediate impact but he will not be handed the starting job.

But for the sake of predicting, he'll start his 2nd game.

The Bills, but he'll be wearing #41 and the name on the back of the jersey will be "M.Williams".

The week after, Malcolm Williams will will be cut to make room for Talib who will by given #41, and Williams will drive away in a brand new Lexus.

If you ain't cheating, you ain't trying.

;)

you draft a guy in the 4th, you pay him a 4th round salary, and he's under control for years.....you can afford to develop him slowly

you trade a 4th rounder for a vet whom you only have under control for 7-10 games, and are paying him 1st round pick money (pro-rated), you don't have that luxury

they traded for him to provide immediate help.....and that is exactly what he'll do

Are you kidding me? The second he is eligible he will be on the field. If he wasn't suspended until afterwards, he would be starting in the Buffalo game IMHO.

I agree that he will start ASAP, but he can't join the team or practice until his suspension is up, which includes the Pats next game.
