Weird how no one ever brings up the Giants faking injuries last year including the SB, and how no new rule was created to stop the same by the competition committee and still the giants loud mouths cant stop yappin

Justin Tuck of New York Giants says Pittsburgh Steelers get benefit of calls - ESPN New York

"I hope we get some holding calls because they have gotten away with murder," Tuck told ESPN's Rachel Nichols Thursday. "They've done a very good job protecting Ben (Roethlisberger) -- they don't hold on every play. But we've seen a whole lot of it."

The Giants host the Steelers Sunday.

When speaking with Giants beat reporters following practice Thursday, Tuck was complimentary of the Steelers and Roethlisberger.

"He is the reason why they are so successful in their offense," Tuck said. "That is not a knock on their running game. But when you think of Pittsburgh, first you got to think of him. He is, I think, the main reason why they are so successful on third down, is his ability to prolong plays and you got guys hanging off of him and he's still figuring it out. I would bet money that his completion percentage is higher when somebody is hanging off of him than when he is standing straight."

When you do things like this you're admitting the team you're complaining about is better than you and you need the refs help to you win. I don't expect the Giants to win this game.

Curiously, the Steelers seem to own the NFC.

What is up with the Giants? Hasn't even been three weeks since their OC said this about Justin Smith:
"He does as good a job of grabbing a hold of offensive linemen and allowing those twists to take place. He never gets called for it so he gets away with murder."

Justin Tuck should not be complaining about favorable ref decisions.

Justin Tuck is NOT a subset of rocket scientist.....

I'll tell you what I think, and have thought for a long time, is up with the Giants - namely, they're a yappy team that has an undeserved reputation for being classy. Maybe it's because they're in constant juxtaposition with the Jets which could make the Lohans look classy, but their players shoot their mouths off nearly as much as the Jets. To be sure, in recent years they've backed it up a lot of the time.
But, they turn it off and on all the time (see 9-7 last year), seem to go 3-4 years at a time without making the slightest play-off splash and often appear undisciplined. I think Coughlin is a very good coach, but I don't think he is in control of all of those guys consistently. More than once, players have openly yelled at him on the sidelines. They've successfully masked a lot of "stuff" by winning big games at times, including 2 of the biggest, but they have a lot of people fooled about a lot of things. Just my opinion.

Usually, a classy coach + classy QB = classy reputation. The Pats get nailed twice on that formula because, despite the perception of Belichick and Brady is so far off of reality. We all know the BS that gets flung around about Belichick, plus lots of opposing fans have a weird envy-boner for Brady and write him off as some elitist playboy whiner. People are really stupid sometimes.

We all know the sins of the NFL are projected on the Patriots. That's the price you pay for greatness it seems.

The Giants complaining about holding calls is pretty rich.

One side has Justin Tuck, who talks too much ****. Other side has Ryan Clark, who talks too much ****.

I'll be rooting for the meteor in that game.

Didn't they make a similar complaint about the 49'ers before they played them and pretty much blew them out of the water?

What are these Giants up to exactly?

Steelers now flying in the DAY OF the game. But, even without that distraction; giants should win. They are the better overall team.

IMO the giants have been either taught or had it validated by the nfl referees that if they complain enough to the press; They CAN INFLUENCE the refs. Even if it is only ONE CALL it could be worth it to throw out a claim. There is no way the refs wont be at least aware of it and more than likely will be a little more careful looking for whatever they complained about.

with the replacement refs teams were certainly getting more influence by yapping as well as the home town crowds were influencing them. That may have helped validate it to the giants as a strategy. And even if the normal refs are LESS influenceable; it is still happening.

Just look at what sexy rexy in Foxboro and Fisher was doing in London (walking out onto the field after a play to yell at refs) and a whole bunch of these other coaches and teams do this stuff on gameday. Pre-season and the first couple of games taught them to press the refs to get a call or two.

The last time someone on the Giants did something like this, they were playing the 49ers...

And a higher price for missteps - Cameragate - and severe media scrutiny/needless speculation on routine affairs - Brady's contract situation for eg.

That is actually not the best angle on that play....will try to find the other pics I have seen where Seymour, Warren, and a third defender were being HELD HORRIBLY and at least TWO of them had Gomer in the grasp.....and there was a ref standing right there and his only comment was...."I ALMOST blew the whistle on that play to signal in the grasp but wanted to see if he could get out of it"....or something like that......The GINTS ought to shut their yaps as they got away with BLATANT holding on 3 counts on ONE PLAY against us in 07 and if that ref was FOLLOWING the rules correctly....he should have blown gomer in the grasp......I know, let it go....BUT I CAN'T!!!!

The Giants complaining about holding calls is pretty rich.

Here's the article on that play where Green,Seymour and Warren were blatantly held and where if the ref made the correct call....Gomer would have been ruled sacked....problem was GOD-dell wanted to make sure the GInts had every opportunity to win that SB.......
