So much for all the prognosticators saying Lloyd is a bust and should not be starting in any fantasy leagues.

Fantasy football can suk it. I think Lloyd is a good addition to the team. Back-shoulder pass is a new weapon for Brady. If they can get on the same page, I expect a lot of 1st downs out of Lloyd. Beyond that is gravy.

Brady seems to have sharpened his Pennington-type bloop pass this year. For all the "Pats are a dink and dunk offense" crap over the years, that sort of arcing touch pass has rarely been a big part of the arsenal. It's a nice addition.

Of course when Pennington threw those he was trying to drive it.

Here's the thing about defense. You have to get off the field on 3d down. That's the key. If the Pats stop the run on third and two, none of us is talking about the big play. Same with th Rams. Pats were three for three.

Nice to wish for this, but too early to be a critical need. Bend don't break will do here.
