It's mind-boggling!
Yes, the defense sucked last year, worse than this year. And you predicted the same doom an gloom you are now.
You are one of the biggest Chicken Littles on this board. Sorry that I don't go overboard after a loss.
This team has more issues than we think, but they lost their three games by a combined total of 4 points and are likely to improve over the season especially as Hernandez gets healthier and these young players get more experience. I am not predicting Super Bowls, but this team should win the division and have a shot at a first round bye.
People are getting caught up in the statistics of yardage etc and are ignoring the fundamental flaw of the Pats offense.
We have NO SIZE on the receiving corps and we have NO ONE who can get open more than 10 yards down the field.
Tom Brady has to be absolutley perfect to engineer these scoring drives because we aren't picking up yardage in big chunks.
To further complicate the issue, the lack of size is killing us in the red zone.
These other QBs have the luxury of tossing it up in the red zone and just having guys grab the ball. Or heaving it 50 yards down the field and getting cheap PI calls.
Brady has none of it. He has to be perfect.
Look ath the last drive today. Did anyone think they could even get a 1st down in that spot let alone 50 yards in a minute? THey can;t get the ball down the field and they can't score in the red zone because they have no size on wideout and no playmakers down the field. Branch stinks. Lloyd is a good possession guy. Welker the same. No deep threats. No big chunks of yards. No easy completions to tall WRs in the endzone.
Really???
Were you watching the same game. We moved the ball at will against them from 20 to 20, only to mishandle the clock (half) or throw an interception while our defense did their job for 3 full quarters.
We gave that game up through poor coaching and execution.
Seriously though. The Pats as an 11-5 #3 seed could be interesting. I'm not scared of going to Baltimore or Houston, let's enter the bye at 5-3.
Getting prepared for the opposite of a well reasoned and calm discussion.
D came up with big stops for a while, but near the end Brady played as poorly as he could play. We got stuck in a situation where Seattle needed to throw and we were stuck with two rookie Safeties.
The sky isn't falling. We faced a good team and lost mainly because we beat ourselves. Obviously we need to get better, but we are in a position were we are more likely to get better than worse. That bodes well for our chances in November, which I still believe there is all the reason we will get to.
still trying to figure out how you let up a bomb like that up by 6 from a guy that couldn't probably move the ball down the field inn the time he had. Amazing how bad this secondary is.
Just before the 1st half ended Brady had a wide open Gronk in the endzone and blew it. Then in the same series he got called for intentional grounding which cost the team a shot at 3 pts.
Don't put this game on the receivers. That's pure bulsh*&!!
This is on the QB and it's on the OC.
58 pass attempts. What a freakin' joke Josh!!!!!
They weren't exactly lighting the world on fire with the run game.
Bolden (pre injury) and Woodhead were running well. Ridley was the problem today. They weren't exactly lighting the world on fire with the run game.
no way they should lose to a pete carrol coached team.. pete carrol is the worst coach and russel wilison is terrible.... coaching and qb play was awful in the second half... sorry
***** HAPPENS !
Pats have lost to worse teams..Seattle has a top ranked D and gave up a ton of yds to Pats. Maybe they get to meet again in playoffs with different results.
