Re: Sanchez Week 4 QBR

End of game time of possession: 53seconds.

With fewer turnovers.

Maybe they should play Cromartie at WR. Sanchez is great at throwing to cornerbacks.

From an enjoyment standpoint, sure, but like any other team we really should be rooting for them to play spoiler. Houston losing to one of the worst 4 teams in the conference would be a big help to our seeding chances.

Sometimes a win for them is a good thing for us, so some Pats fans need to put our team ahead of their personal feelings concerning the Sanchise, the Blowhard and all of the other dirty, rotten Rat Bastids and root for the Jests. Do it for the team.

Meh.... Houston's an issue for another day, thank you very much. There are 31 other teams out there to beat Houston. Why let JEST fans off suicide watch?

Not sure what the logic is telling the team to go "soul searching", basically "Go Sulk". Usually great performances and hard fought battles warrant a couple days off, bad, lack luster, sloppy ones warrant harder work. Another weird Rex motivational ploy?

The Jet way strikes again!:bricks:

I wanted to say this too. EXACTLY WHO (as a supervisor) gives a guy TIME OFF for doing the CRAPPIEST JOB AT WORK??????

Especially at week 4 of the season. It can't be they are overworked already. Although maybe Marky needs some extra time off to digest this weekend's extra helping of hot dogs?

Re: Sanchez Week 4 QBR

But Rex says Sanchez is his guy.. although he will no longer call him " The Sanchize".....

The Jets play Houston on Monday Night Football..
The Sancheesy always had a better ring to it.

It sounds like the Jets have taken a page from the Albert Haynesworth Guide to Successful Conditioning in the NFL.

Time off to wallow in misery, good advice, lol.

They face another beast of a team this coming week, you'd think he'd say "We need to come in early and stay late all week"

I only remember BB giving time off for hard fought playoff type victories, can't recall any NFL coach giving time off for a sloppy, lazy, uninspired performance. Maybe some do, IDK.

No coaching, just melodrama.

I don't think the Jets stand a chance against the Texans and Sanchez is now a joke at QB. It's only a matter of time till they pull the plug and install Tebow in as the starter. Expect Tebow Time eta Week 6 after Sanchez looks horrible again vs Texas.

Re: Sanchez Week 4 QBR

You shouldn't quesiton his unlimiting ceiling, but I don't think you understand the criteria.
He has an unlimiting ceiling at being able to give us something to laugh at the Jets about.
Lets hope they give him a 5 year guaranteed extension.

I think that everyone has misunderstood the Jester fans. You have been totally unfair to them since Marky's entrance to the league.

An unlimited ceiling could after all imply that he is so low in capability that the average QB in the NFL, to him looks like they are walking on the ceiling / are unlimitedly high above him.

And look too; he still has work to do (a ways to go before Tebow replaces him- )- on season average there are still 2 guys (collins, gabbert) who can give him a run for his money.

28 Andy Dalton 26.6
29 Sam Bradford 25.9
30 Mark Sanchez 20.0
31 Kerry Collins 13.6
32 Blaine Gabbert 12.1

Re: Sanchez Week 4 QBR

I'm not really impressed. I knew he had it in him all along.

His quarterback rating was 39.9. To put that into perspective, if you took every single pass and spiked it into the ground intentionally, your rating would be 39.6.

Does anyone think the Jets can even hang with Houston?

I am thinking ......Houston 24 Jets 10

I think the Jets are going to get shut out again. Then, we'll all welcome the return of Tim Tebow looking totally inept against us.

More like week #7 when they play the Pats, as everything they do is with the Pats in mind.

Maybe they'll catch us by surprise and we won't have a clue about how to defend Tebow.

Re: Sanchez Week 4 QBR

Geez, Sanchez is a living, breathing argument for taking a knee on every play.

But, any ranking that puts Matt Hasselbeck at the top and Jay Cutler one rung above the Sanchize after this weekend's games is, shall we say, suspect.

And Woody Johnson, who just bet the farm on Mitt Romney, might be just the guy to do it! :singing:

Gary Myers has been a leading Sanchez apologist in the NY tabloids and he's now ready to bail after week eight.

I feel bad for Gary sometimes; he's an intelligent guy and writes well (and actually answers reader emails if they are short and polite when you disagree with him) but has to roll over for the idiot Jets fans so they'll buy his paper. So, his bailing on the Sanchize is a big deal down this way.

If Mark Sanchez doesn't turn season around in the next four games, NY Jets should replace him with Tim Tebow - NY Daily News

Damn, if I didn't run your scenario through my homemade Pass Rating Calculator and...you're right! Thanks for the research.

Could anyone imagine BB doing this? "Soul-seaching" isn't the solution -- practicing harder and studying film is.

I wish this was a reality show and the cameras followed players during their two days of "soul searching." Tebow probably is the only one actually doing it. The rest are hanging out at nightclubs while Li'l Marky jets off to the nearest Justin Bieber concert.

To be fair, most of the Jets don't actually have souls.
