Belichick Fined 50k For Grabbing Official

I don't get what you're all whining about?

It's AGAINST THE RULES. You can't touch an official. If a ref wants to be really picky and you've been ticking him off, he could flag you for simply putting your hand on his shoulder.

Belichick grabbing the referee is as big a violation of that rule there is without physically assaulting him. He deserved the fine and he's VERY lucky that they didn't try and make an example of him and do much more.

Quit whining and thinking we've been victimised

There's no 'in the middle'...you can't argue 'well all he's trying to do is talk to the guy so it must be alright'

The referee is not obligated to give an explanation if he doesn't want to.

what "referee"? ..that clown that called a missed FG good and then ran for cover?...you realize that "ref" was a Division 3 official, like 95% of the rest of these scab turds...that idiot is lucky it was a senior citizen like Belichick grabbing his arm...division 3 is equivalent to a street soccer game in Liverpool worked by bartenders from the local ale house...krist...

Quit whining about . It was millimetres....an extremely tough call. Home field probable influenced his decision.

You can't determine where the ball was the exact time it crossed the crossbar. So get over it. If it were our kick, we'd be arguing we had narrowly squeezed he ball inside the outside line of the post and therefore it was good

Whether you like the ref or not, it's still against the rules so, once again, quit whining.

Get off your high horse, If I have a gripe I'll post it.

It was the end of the game and he wanted clarification on a rule after what looked like a gaffed field goal. he wasn't berating the refs like Fox or harbough or any of the others. I can always count on you to read the rule book that's for sure, how interesting.

I'm not whining and you have a huge problem with your condescension...I'm incensed about the amount of the fine AND the timing of it....if you don't like it, bugger off...but don't ever presume to tell me what to do again.

Well what's the point whining about it when there's nothing you can do to change it?

If you're going to criticise anyone, criticise Belichick for being stupid enough to do it. It's common knowledge you can't touch a referee at all...let alone grabbing him from behind.

It's a message board where people post opinions of various trades, calls and other football related subject matter, most all of it doesn't change a dam thing. Using your logic why post at all? We're just voicing opinions, get over yourself.

Well my 'opinion' was you're all whining over a blatantly obvious rule being enforced the correct way and that 'oh he was just trying to get his attention' isn't really much of an excuse for breaking a rule.

There's voicing your opinion and there's sitting there saying 'I disagree with the fact he should be fined at all' which is, lets be realistic, just silly given the fact it IS against the rules.

Saying you disagree with that is like syng 'well I had a valid reason for speeding Mr. Officer as I was in a rush because I was late for dinner...so please don't ticket me'

Your opinion is that the fine is justified others think it's a bit excessive given the circumstances. The difference between going 5 to 50 miles over the speed limit is a lot of money.

harbough 15K for this

Not everything is as cut and dry as you'd like to make it out to be.

he's a troll, Robbo...

I wasn't referring to those who don't like how high the fine was...if you don't like it then fair enough...given the fines for coaches who simply shouted at referees it was expected. The league are trying to make examples of people sadly.

There were people whining about the fact h actually got fined in the first place...which I'm my opinion is its just plain stupid. If joker thinks that makes someone a 'troll' then so be it.
