It's amazing how a loss sends this place into meltdown. The team played a horrid game of football today and still had a chance to win it. How many teams can say that?

Not many.

We didnt deserve to win. thats all there is.

Re: A Ref did NOT want us to win that game.

We got completely robbed by scab officials.

These replacement refs are an outrage. The NFL needs to fix this before this sort of BS happens in the 4th quarter of a Superbowl and blackens NFL history forever.

We're 2-0 in my book. That was a BS loss!

We were totally rail roaded on that call.

Josh McDaniels Was pitiful..... He cost us the game

As he has done so many times, called the most pitiful offensive plays for most of the game. Even with the loss of Hernandez, there still was enough talent to win the game if the play calling wasn't at high school level.

McDainiels, obviously, doesn't understand that if something is not working, to continue doing it and expecting a different result is the definition of insanity.

Getting into position for FOUR field goals only, without getting it into the end zone has to be the fault of the offensive coordinator, for the most part.

Belichick needs to ream him a new you know what. And, for that matter, BB should have been all over him to begin with for the pee poor game he was calling. NO EXCUSES.

The play calling at the end was really suspect. Just settling for a 42 yarder like it's a gimme? Do they have such short memories and can't remember the AFC Championship game. We had 40 seconds to move the ball, far too conservative.

The call on Gronk was ticky tack at best though. Should have had that Woodhead TD. Just a really sloppy game by the offence - got to get better this week otherwise it's gonna be a long day against the Ravens.

Re: A Ref did NOT want us to win that game.

We lost because we were outplayed and completely outcoached. And when we were handed the game regardless on a silver platter, we decided to pass.

Re: A Ref did NOT want us to win that game.

The refs were letting the players play for the entire game.

Then Woodhead scores a touchdown that wouldve sealed the game in the final minute. Suddenly the ref becomes active and calls a holding on Gronkowski for something that should have never been called. You know holding happens on EVERY play, so why choose the most important play of the game to call it? And on top of that, the replay showed Gronk didn't even hold!

It's mind baffling and pathetic. Weather its personal bias or the fix was in, there in NO DOUBT that referee didn't want the Patriots to win the game.

Now everyone will say "its our own fault, the game never should've been that close anyways. We're lucky we even got that fumble recovery" Yadda yadda yadda..... whatever. We should've won fair and square. The Patriots were robbed.

Time for NFL to bring the real refs back. These replacements are costing teams games, costing playoff standings, etc.... Its a disgrace to the NFL.

Ridiculious sentiment.

The Patriots offense, coaching staff, and special teams lost this game...not the refs.

Re: Thank you Danny Woodhead

I'm assuming this is how it feels to be bipolar.

Re: A Ref did NOT want us to win that game.

You act like regular refs never do crap like this. How many phantom PI calls have we had to deal with in the final minutes of games over the years?

Every team loses games. What bothers me is some of the usual patriots hallmarks being absent. Bad situational football. Bad challenges. Bad risk v reward playcalling.

im a big fan of losses that teach you and correct the ship. The pats lost to the redkins, an inferior team, back in 2003...and they then won 21 straight. hopefully the coaching staff will kick their rear ends in practice and they'll be ok for baltimore.

They just turned it over on downs. The Eagles have the ball with the lead and 50 seconds left in the game. That should be game over.

Ravens just lost

Re: A Ref did NOT want us to win that game.

Uh, you guys do remember saying the exact same thing about the regular refs, right?

Re: Josh McDaniels Was pitiful..... He cost us the game

I guess you missed the play of the OL Linda ... they were man handled all day.

Re: A Ref did NOT want us to win that game.

Sorry. But the O didnt want us to win the game. Not the refs

I know everyone wants to dump on Goskowski, but.......the hold was piss poor, the ball angled at about 60 degrees instead of being straight up. Gosk didn't have a chance

I haven't looked at the replay so I can't echo that right now, but that further highlights WHY you don't just settle for a FG attempt when the chance is right there for you to get it another way. Bad snap, poor hold, too much going on there to settle for a long FG

Re: Everyone needs to calm down

at least it looks like Edelman is serviceable as the 3rd WR until he gets healthy...5rec, 50yards

You forgot the AH injury and Brady INT he caused.

heh

Bull****. We lost because the referee took a Touchdown away from us in the last minute that would've given us the Win.

As bad as the Pats were, they won that game if it wasn't for nothing short of a blown call by some scab who should be in charge of some flag football game not an NFL game.

Re: Josh McDaniels Was pitiful..... He cost us the game

For 3 quarters the whole offense was Ridley, Woodhead, Edelman, and Lloyd. Only when we realized Welker and Gronk did we move the ball.
