OT: Deus Irae within 100 of 30,000 Posts

One of the other forums I frequent has only been operating for 3 years and there are already like 8-10 people with 30,000 posts. It's a tame bunch over here compared to a lot of dark corners of the internet.

i have 70,000 posts on a forum i barely even read anymore

what i can say about having a lot of posts: the wasted time doesnt come from making the actual posts. those are easy. it's sitting on the internet waiting for someone to say something you can argue over.

and like everything else, it's time you'll never get back

that being said i like deus he is a good poster. for the forums sake i hope he doesnt find anything useful to do with his time.

Congrats to Deus. He never makes an argument he can't substantiate and is a positive influence on any thread in which he engages.

I used to think that 5,000 posts was the sign of too much time on one's hands. Now, that bar has clearly been raised a lot higher.

Suggestion to mods: how about posting "Likes Received" as well as total posts. It's a positive metric and so wouldn't take us back to the days of "Reputations" or whatever, where people would try to dis other folks.

I think Tex has been banned from time to time, just not perma banned.

Likes given is also a positive metric. They're free so use them freely if you like something.

He has been banned repeatedly, sometimes for long stretches. They do bring him back periodically like you would that obnoxious relative you can't stand but somehow find it in your heart to tolerate him occasionally until he/she drives you crazy again. It usually doesn't take long for the Ban Hammer to drive another stake in him. He is off the forum more than on it these days.

The other three of us have at least half our posts in the political forum. I'm sure DI is FAR ahead in this forum.

I rarely waste my time over there now so my posts have dropped by about 75%.
