He is always teachable, never thinks he is done improving. Even with five super bowl appearances in ten seasons. The following quote about improving his technique, posted today at the Herald, gave me goosebumps. He talks about why he still has coaches for his throwing form:

If I can improve my technique and that helps me with five throws over the course of the season, five throws that I wouldn’t have made last year, that I made this year, those could be the five most important plays of the season.

What I like is the confidence it displays, too. People say he asks for help because he is getting rusty, or his game is declining. No. If it can help him make just five more completion in a season, it is worth it. And no quarterback would disagree with his sentiment.

I think we could all learn from him. What if we all took that attitude to our jobs, how much better would we be, how high would we be in our profession?

The above quote is from:

You know I almost wish he wouldn't even talk about this stuff. Let people think his form is declining, don't give other QBs an insight into his thinking. But as a fan I sure appreciate it.

You know that's just fan talking. Other coaches/players who are preparing against him probably a little more objective (depending on the situation).

Hard to say brady is declining much when he throws for 5200 yards too. While father time gets us all, how much does it affect his "money" throws short-intermediate and his ability to read defenses. I'd say ever so slightly to the first and the 2nd only gets better.

You write that after overdosing on Viagra?

I LOVE that TFB does this sort of thing, one can always get better and it's great that he knows it. That said, why don't our other 2 QBs also seek out a guru to help them perfect their mechanics?

I hear Mallett is throwing the ball all over the place. Being tall and long armed like him allows him more space to generate velocity but it also allows more opportunities for mistakes, which can throw off where the ball goes. I wish he'd get his act together and tighten up his throwing motion.

Definitely man-crushing on Brady right now.

I have one too. I want him to have my baby, but he can't because we're both men. I am willing to let Giselle have it, but she's not returning my calls. I'm very passionate about football so it's bumming me out. I really wish Giselle would appreciate the fans more.

Who says they aren't? Neither one is Brady nor ever will be. Brady is a once in a fans lifetime player and we're lucky to have him on our team all these years.

Do you hear anything about our backups working with QB gurus? I don't, but I do hear about Mallett throwing all over the damn field.

No, they are not TFB, but so what? The QB position is the most important on the field, I would hope that these guys would be investing in themselves to perfect their craft. I know TFB does it, I know Manning has people he works with, I'd like to see it out of others as well.

BTW, Ricky Stanzi, who I still want on the team had worked with the QB whisperer before he passed. A backup doesnt have to be TFB, I'd just like to see them do as Brady and Stanzi have done.

Ayup.

Ricky Stanzi could've been stolen in the 5th Round.

Greg McElroy could've been stolen in the 7th Round.

And yet I keep reading about what a BARGAIN that Hurricane Mallett was in the 3rd Round.

Yeah.

Sure.
