Hey Guys,

Playing NFL fantasy for the first time this year - and outwith Pats players im a bit ignorant im afraid. So looking for some input so i dont make a complete fool of myself.

Our league has done an Autodraft (quite early i know) and we are starting to do our trades etc.

Ive Just traded Fred Davis (TE - Skins) and James Starks (RB - Packer) in Return for Aaron Hernandez and Steven Ridley. Was that a good trade or am i just a Pats homer?

Also picked up Vereen on the waivers for Santana Moss (a little bit of a reach i think)

Woodhead is a FA still.

Ive now been offered Turner (RB - Falcons) for Reggie Bush. Would you guys take that? Im thinking of keeping Bush because with Miami's QB situation i think he'll get lots of carries.

I have quite decent depth in RB - Ridley, Vereen, Bush, Fred Jackson, Sproles and Tate (texans).

At the moment i have Jackson and Bush in the RB positions and Sproles as a RB/WR option. Should i trade any of these guys away - i need a decent WR as i only have Greg Jennings and Antonio Brown.

Any Breakout studs i should be looking to trade for???

Sorry to reply to my own message but i have just traded Stafford and Tate for Brady, and picked up Woodhead as FA.

I was delighted until the league manager just text and said im screwed on the Pats bye week. I didnt think about that!

I never got any pats in the Autodraft but now have:

Brady, Hernandez, Ridley, Vereen and woodhead.

Hernandez and Ridley in exchange for Davis and Starks is a good trade for you. Hernandez is better than Davis, while Ridley and Starks is a tossup.

I wouldn't worry that much about the bye week. Focusing on the bye is overrated in my opinion.

Turner is ripe for a decline. He has been way overused by Atlanta, with more than 300 carries in three of the last four years. I would go with Reggie Bush instead.

With the running backs you have you'll likely never use Woodhead. I would drop him to pick up a backup receiver. If Santana Moss is still available you may want to grab him, as he might be the Redskins #1 option at WR. From 2008-10 he averaged over 1000 yards receiving and 5 TD per year.

Hope that helps .... good luck!

Thanks for the suggestions. :)

I rejected the trade offer for Turner. Moss was still available so i just picked him up again and dropped Woodhead, with Gaffney with the Pats now then Moss will likely be the Skins No.1 like you say.

I forgot i had Sproles so i was set for RBs - so cutting Woodhead should be a no-brainer.

One of the other guys must have realised im a sucker for Pats players as he offered me Gostkowski for Sproles. Pity it wasnt Gronk!

Hopefully you realized the Gostkowski for Sproles was a joke. Either way, decline the offer (just to be sure).

Re: the Turner trade. Its obvious he wants him since he proposed it to you. You can counter it by asking for another one of his players in addition to Bush.

Goodluck. With Brady and Hernandez, you're gonna have a decent team

I don't take the bye week into consideration when drafting, the one win shouldn't matter much, and it's the playoffs that matter. I know somebody that purposely tanks the first week to get to the top of the waiver wire.

Thanks for the tips TennPat.

I realised the guy was chancing it so i refused his trade offer. I have the Packers kicker so i'm assuming he'll be about the same level of scoring as Gostkowski.

Going by the TC grades i've dumped vereen for Woodhead :)

I put Bolden on my watch list, if he makes the team I'm going to open up a spot for him by packaging players in a trade to improve the top end of the roster and take a flier on Bolden.

I love fliers. You just gotta be quick to spot them

Nice job on Bolden. Did you have him in last week?
