Not sure what this is...

There's nothing puritanical about being a little puzzled about by a guy who clearly had the level of love for his wife that Kraft did turning around and dating someone half his age after losing her.

But hey, I don't know what Kraft is going through losing his loved one like that, so I guess I'm not in a position to judge. I could just never imagine myself doing that and it doesn't sit right with me - and I don't consider myself puritanical.

Yup. I'm giving Bobby a pass on this strange behavior because I've still got my long term spouse and have never experienced such a loss.

People losing respect for Kraft?

Weei has been playing that sound clip of Robert and his "special" friend going over a scene for her audition for a new movie with Vince Vaughn flick. At the end of the scene, Kraft yells, "F**k you, you p***y". Of course, this being part of the movie scene.

THere are people calling in saying that they've lost respect for him Kraft because it hasn't been a year for his wife's death and this and that. Kraft was also seen with the actor, Ricki Lander, at the Celtics game. I guess she's assumed to be his girlfriend. He just calls her a friend lol.

Whats your take on this?

No need for multiple threads on Bobby's lapse of judgement

Pretty odd the girl would ask Kraft to read with her if she really wants the job. Kraft did nothing wrong and was only reading lines, he hasn't harmed the brand in any way.

She should ask Menino to read with her next time.

Now you are mixing intentially putting something out there. I agree as it relates to the playoff game that Kraft knew it would be public the second he stepped into the Gahden. So what nothing wrong there. What I was referring to in that last comment was that Kraft running lines with his actress that included vulger language was not intentially put out by the two (Kraft or Ricki) where as the Bibi Gronk photo was released by Bibi and thus the reason for the photo was different than the reason for the video. The photo was done to publicly self promote where as the video was intended to privately promote Ricki to the people deciding on the cast.

As you have stated that you dont have a issue with either incident I am failing to figure out where you are coming from in these arguments and I really think this goes to the fact that you dont seem to ever be able to side with management and instead always seem to go out of your to take a contrarian point to whatever management does whether that be the contract negotiations of management or things like this.

This is exactly correct. Both men made minor faux pas. Gronks was with how he chose to promote himself. Krafts was in assuming some blue video would not get out. They aren't the same error in judgement no matter how some people want to insist that they are.

And Deus your consistent attempts to put down other people calling them foolish, idiotic or telling them that they are losing it just comes off petty.

She knows EXACTLY what she is doing.

From that video, anyone can tell that Kraft was the SECOND worst actor in it.

The only way she gets in a movie is if she gets a non-speaking role or if she could somehow get notoriety from a viral video involving a famous person.

She chose door #2. Kraft was the sucker.

I'll say it again, this Lander goon graduated with a Masters Degree in Succubus from the University of Yoko.

......other than that, I'm sure she's a very nice girl.

1.) You were being foolish.

2.) SBB was ascribing my position to an anti-management thing. That's insane, since this has nothing to do with management, but with one person "talking to" another and then getting involved in a similar situation. This isn't management/labor, it's person/person.

And SBR, your consistently foolish posts just come off as foolish. See how that works?

Ok, now you're just losing your mind. It's sad to see, but not unexpected during the silly season.

This isn't a management issue.

I never said it was a management issue but rather said that your issue appears to be that you can never side with management even if it is just siding with a manager if if the issue has nothing to do with actually management.
And also clearly your odd point of view has to do with Krafts management style as you seem to be ok with the incidents themselves but not ok with the fact that Kraft for lack of a better way to phrase chastised gronk but then did something "similar" and you also seem to be arguing posters that have a "similar hypocritical" view of saying one is ok but not the other.

A segment of posters here, often the younger ones, are pretty naive about the real world where perception is reality (and lets face it, it's not generally that far off). Because no one ever promised life would always be right or fair (and if they did they wuz lyin...). Kraft made a mistake, he knows that now, can't take it back, just have to be more cautious and aware in the future - like he told Gronk to be. Hopefully he starts thinking with his upper brain again. You don't have to remain a monk, just try not to make an ass out of yourself. If he wants to play with pals like Ricki for a while, so be it. He knows what goes with that territory perecption wise, even moreso today than he did yesterday. Maybe some good comes of his faux pas and she lands the part and is off to Hollywood for several months...and hooks up with some big time casting director.

That would be you imputing a labor/management issue.

There's nothing at all odd about my point of view, and note that you again return to the management thing after claiming that's not involved. Just a note here, though. I'm the one being accused of unnecessary attacks and the like, yet you're here pulling a bunch of nonsense out of your ass and acting as if it's fact, while such nonsense is clearly an attack on my person (integrity, etc...). So, let me repeat:

This has nothing to do with management. It has nothing to do with Kraft dating a younger woman, or any woman. It has to do with one man "talking" to another, and then doing a similar thing himself not all that long afterwards.

"if she lands the part...". A BIG "if". She has to be one of the worst "actresses" I've ever seen. Good lord.

He made a total and complete fool of himself. I had to watch from behind a pillow.

A lot of people in this thread and outside of it are making a lot of assumptions about Kraft's personal life.

I am doing no such thing I am pointing out what you are doing.

My own opinions on this subject I have clearly stated as this being blown out of proportion both his saying some vulger things while acting and his dating someone younger and so soon after being widowed. Pretty much everything else I said was in reaction to bringing the gronk scenario in for comparison or to others attempts to put him down and I am really baffled by your stance as you stated you had no problem with either but still seem to have a problem with it all and my only conclusion was that if your issues are not with the incident then it would seem to linger from a disdain for the actual manager and then you some how equate that with me calling it a management issue.

If you think my posts are so foolish than why follow them. To quote a wise man "who is more foolish the fool or the fool who follows them"

Robert Kraft issues statement on audition tape - Extra Points - Boston.com

"I tried to help Ricki prepare an audition tape for an upcoming Vince Vaughn/Owen Wilson comedy by reading Wilson’s lines. I never intended that it would be made public and I regret that it has. I think we can all agree that Owen Wilson has nothing to worry about. I am going to stick to my day job."

A lot of people in this thread and outside of it are making a lot of assumptions about Kraft's personal life.

And he is giving them ample opportunity to do so.

Admit it, if this was the Jets owner or Rex Ryan or someone, you'd be having an absolute field day.

I read somewhere (purely anecdotal evidence, but oh well), that a fairly high percentage of people who were married for a long time and then lose their spouse, die themselves within a year or two. I would imagine it has to do with such a sudden life and emotional change causing stress on an already aging mind and body. It may look odd for Kraft to be involved with someone so young so soon after Myra's passing, but if it keeps him sharp and helps ease the transition (aka, keeps him alive longer), I'm not going to judge him for it.

Just watched the video. Pretty lame. Not sure why people are upset with Kraft over this.

That said, I do find their relationship pretty seedy, but he's an adult and can do what he wants.
