Will the Pats be getting a Nike uniform update?

BTW, did anyone else notice the change in the Rams helmet? looks like they changed the gold paint to more of a gold-chrome look. I like it alot.

Those photos are heavily edited, the Jets one is one of the most obvious ones because it's a different shade of green to the photos taken today.

Too many teams have gone to navy blue as a base color. Now the Seahawks are navy. Pats, Bills, Chargers, Texans, Broncos, Bears, Cowboys, Rams ...

Actually, now I see where they put all the "sparkle" that they took out of the silver strips on the jersey shoulders... did you see a close-up of the helmet? dang!!!! it looks like a 13 year old girls bowling bowl. WAAAAY too glittery. It almost borders on embarressing. Like I said before, it could just be the photo (ie lighting, etc.) but they are a little too , shall we say... "flamboyant"?!? :confused2:

I see what you mean about the glittery-looking helmet. Hoping it's just the lighting?

Denver have gone back to Orange by the looks of things.

any guesses on what the inside collar slogan will be?

I'd say "DO YOUR JOB" or "60 MINUTES"

The cleats look bada%$

I read a study that said with evenly matched teams, if one team was wearing red they had the advantage do to a psychological association, I sent it to the Patriots maybe they read it.

I remember reading that officials tend to penalize teams in red more often than any other color. Black was second but far behind red.

That was pre-internet.

perhaps you mean this:

The Color of Influence by Kevin Hogan

I'd like to see the red/blue study on NFL-style football officials (as opposed to soccer teams in England) before doing anything rash.

I might find a comment like that to be somewhat offensive to fans. What do they have to lose by looking at fans suggestions? I know that many sent in might look like a six year old did it with a box of crayolas but who is to say that someone could not send in a really great idea.

They can be sued because they "stole" your idea.

Even if your idea was crazy and/or had nothing to do with the change. If you write how they need to trade Tom Brady and feast on Josh McDaniel's entrails after offering him as a burnt sacrifice to Baal and then they decide to put uniform number on the helmet, they would have to prove in court how your message did not affect them even though they have a policy of reading everything they get that is unsolicited.

It was similar to that yes, I think it's something we should get Ernie Adams on.

"It is what it is"

"We just need to play better and coach better"

Looks like teams had multiple options in terms of what changes they wanted to adopt. Most teams adopted the "full innovation" of the new Nike uniforms that include the mesh areas and other materials designed to change the fit and provide more weatherproofing. The Pats, Chiefs and Steelers opted not to have the "Flywire" collars that fit more tightly around the pads, while the Eagles, Raiders, Packers, Falcons, and Panthers chose to maintain the same material construction as used during the Reebok years (I think). The Seahawks, of course, opted for the full Nike innovation and a complete Nike re-design.

I wonder why some teams chose one vs. the other.

Darren Rovell's photo "New Nike Jerseys For @Patriots:" on WhoSay

Even closer look

I don't like the matte finish because the silver is now grey, the Saints uni is amazingly good.

Yeah, Im not crazy about the grey. I think that would tick me off.
Looks more like the Giants grey pants, which I have never liked, to bland. At least they didn't give you a grey belt.

It seems they kept with most of the traditional wear, I think.

Ours looks pretty good though. Not sure if thats the right color gold on the numbers, grr. We hate that tan, pretend to be gold the NFL uses on our store shirts, hats, and logos. Just worried we won't have the gold pants I like also, tan would drive me nuts.

Pitt is black and canary yellow not us

Only problem that I see besides that is now we really do look like thugs, lol.
In 2 years the crips and bloods in LA will be blinging our gear on the streets Thats desturbing.
