Tebow is a green bean!!!

1) Tebow can probably agree to the trade and make this issue moot.

2) FAN is already calling for the trade of Sanchez!

This isn't about Tebow. This is about accounting.

I feel sorry for Tebow. Its a paradox, he just doesn't fit in. Like it or not, Tebow is a genuinely good person and that is exactly why he doesn't fit in with the "Jets way". Plus he's probably going to have to backup Sanchez...

If this trade falls through ... I mean, I'm not a big religion guy, but this divine intervention on behalf of Tebow ... Just. Keeps. Happening. Well, except against the Pats.

I am fine if this falls through.

Jesus should not be coached by Jabba the Hutt.

It would have some benefits though- Sanchez sucks and thus the Jets are destined to suck, then Tebow would take over and the Jets would be destined to suck for longer. On second thought it likely doesn't matter much... they have a nearly unequaled run of 40 years of sucking, with or without Sanchez, Tebow, or Rex.

For a good Christian like Tebow, he is going to a team that embodies the Seven Deadly Sins. The way I see it, the following sins are being violated by the Jets;

Gluttony - Any explanation needed?
Sloth - What Santonio Holmes does on the field when he is upset the ball isn't going his way
Envy - Woody Johnson and his Patriots envy
Pride - Does Rex need to make another Super Bowl prediction to fulfill this sin?
Lust - Cromartie and his fifty bastard children
Greed - Revis and his hold out even with several years left on his contract
Anger - Mr. "Can't Wait!" and his bird flipping ways

Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt should be going to the Jets, not Tim Tebow.

Reportedly the Rams and Jags knew the language was in the contract and that is why they didn't trump the JETS bid...LOL

Outthunked by the Rams and Jags!!?? Oh the shame of it all!

Some comments on twitter by Jeff Darlington of the NFLN and NFL.com:

Broncos source says Jets agreed to Tebow trade -- and it's their fault for not thoroughly reading contract. They contend trade should stand.

Several other teams -- including the Jaguars -- recognized the language that required nearly $5 million payment, source said. Jets did not.

Broncos sources contend the trade was made in good faith, that it should stand and that Jets should pay nearly $5 million. Could. Get. Ugly.

I don't want to take sides here, but I can't help but think about life's biggest lesson when dealing with contracts: Read the fine print.

I'm having flashbacks to Jets/Patriots/Belichick contract soap opera. The curse of longtime #Jets beat writer.

LOL Just keeps getting better...

so the trade dies and Sanchise realises he is totally unloved.

Win win.

Quick question:

Worse for the Jets: Trade happens? Trade falls through?

If that's the case then it is proof that the Jets had access to the information, and if they in fact sent the paperwork to the league offices, and then announced the trade, the Broncos are right in insisting that the trade is a done deal.

Jets incompetence just rains and rains.

Trade happens, because now they have a player that they don't want and have to take.

lol, the Jets have tebow splashed on their home page, and now..

More craziness filed to ESPN: Jaguars are back in the mix, seeing if they now can pull off a trade with Denver for Tim Tebow.

To funny.

I know just as you all do they did it For the press and now are going oh crap we now have 2 of the worst 5 "QB"s in the league on this team

As Jets fans like RayRay points out, Tannenbaum is a man among boys when it comes to the details and outsmarting other teams in trades.

My Goodness, this day just keeps getting better and better...

Gangreen is comedy gold right now...

When asked who's at fault over this contract issue, Polian just said on NFL Live that it's not really anybody's fault. He said it's very common to have issues between the teams, but it's up to the Jets to know what they acquiring.

Ok, I am onboard with firing Tannen**** today if this falls apart and he gets traded anywhere else...not because I care about Tebow but because we can't continue to be the lauging stock of sports with this ****** moron making the decisions.

OMG Please!! Let our own stupidity and ******ation save us!!

I am not doubting him and the cap or how he writes contracts (like Brick having to block punts to get a multiplier or Sanchez winning 4 SB's etc), I have started to grow dubious of his football decisions.

Thats why I'm hoping Woody was pushing for this to get done quickly, and not Tanny wanting to make this a quick deal.

Yea, ok, we'll have tanny be our contract writer and hire some one else to be our contract reader. Really?

Ha, I totally called this one!

It will be interesting to see what they do to resolve the obvious conflict. I'm betting they try and trade off Mark. TT is actually a good fit for the ground and pound so it wouldn't surprise me if they stuck with Tim and tried to draft someone to groom behind him. God knows that team could use a little churching up, especially after last year's debacle.

If they don't make a clear call on who will be starting for them, things could get ugly.

OK, so it's 80 degrees here and I just played my first round of golf this year. Then I hear about the Jets trading for Tebow and I . Then I hear that the Jets are so stupid that they didn't read the contract,(Rams and Jags did) and now may have to pay $5mil and I

What a great day!!!!
