1) Tebow can probably agree to the trade and make this issue moot.
2) FAN is already calling for the trade of Sanchez!
This isn't about Tebow. This is about accounting.

I feel sorry for Tebow. Its a paradox, he just doesn't fit in. Like it or not, Tebow is a genuinely good person and that is exactly why he doesn't fit in with the "Jets way". Plus he's probably going to have to backup Sanchez...
I am fine if this falls through.
Jesus should not be coached by Jabba the Hutt.
It would have some benefits though- Sanchez sucks and thus the Jets are destined to suck, then Tebow would take over and the Jets would be destined to suck for longer. On second thought it likely doesn't matter much... they have a nearly unequaled run of 40 years of sucking, with or without Sanchez, Tebow, or Rex.
Reportedly the Rams and Jags knew the language was in the contract and that is why they didn't trump the JETS bid...LOL
LOL Just keeps getting better...
so the trade dies and Sanchise realises he is totally unloved.
Win win.

Quick question:
Worse for the Jets: Trade happens? Trade falls through?
lol, the Jets have tebow splashed on their home page, and now..
More craziness filed to ESPN: Jaguars are back in the mix, seeing if they now can pull off a trade with Denver for Tim Tebow.
To funny.
As Jets fans like RayRay points out, Tannenbaum is a man among boys when it comes to the details and outsmarting other teams in trades.
Some comments on twitter by Jeff Darlington of the NFLN and NFL.com:
Broncos source says Jets agreed to Tebow trade -- and it's their fault for not thoroughly reading contract. They contend trade should stand.
Several other teams -- including the Jaguars -- recognized the language that required nearly $5 million payment, source said. Jets did not.
Broncos sources contend the trade was made in good faith, that it should stand and that Jets should pay nearly $5 million. Could. Get. Ugly.
I don't want to take sides here, but I can't help but think about life's biggest lesson when dealing with contracts: Read the fine print.
I'm having flashbacks to Jets/Patriots/Belichick contract soap opera. The curse of longtime #Jets beat writer.
MooreWho would that be?
