re: How Many First Round QB's? Impact On Who Is Available At 27 & 31?

How about being so far out of the box I'm no longer on planet earth.

What do you guys and gals think of our trading Tom Brady and one of our firsts to Indy so we can take Andrew Luck?

I'm thinking with Brady's "deer in the headlights" look at the beginning of SB XLVI we have damaged goods, even though he played brilliantly through stretches.

Truth be told, he's starting to get older than many Patriot fans realize.

That makes me think we'd have to deal Brady and _both_ firsts to get this deal done.

Yesterday I saw a contender for worst post of 2012.

This might well be the new leader.

I'm not totally opposed to trading Brady if the price is right. The window is closing and at some stage we'll have to start the rebuild process. But unless Mallett is seriously impressing the coaches, now is not the time to ditch the QB who took us to yet another superbowl and just put up the second best all time seasonal performance by a QB.

If we were to trade him however, I hope it will be to the 49'ers. Would be the right epilogue to Brady's career.

I am totally against trading Brady, yes his last two games of the year were miserable, but he single handedly got us to the playoffs this year and shows few signs of regression.

If I had to make a bad trade, I am trading Hernandez to Denver for a first rounder if Brockers is there when Denver is on the clock.

No, would not trade Connecticut boy. But to see visible signs of Brady's effects of aging, which I believe we saw in SB XLVI with the grossly underthrown deep ball to Gronk, one need only wait a year or two.

He's at the cusp of decline.

I agree that trading him is stupid--I as much admitted it in my post--but if we were to do it now's the time.
