am I wrong or have the pats played every NFC Representative in the Superbowl for like the last 20+ years?

Off the top of my head, we didn't play the Seahawks the same year they went to the Super Bowl, or the Eagles when they did (of course we played them in the Super Bowl)

don't care about records 1st, 2nd or 55th time. giants didn't care about records in SB 42

Overall, the team is 12-5 under Belichick when facing teams they’ve already lost to in a season.

Stats & Brady 'amnesia' theory - New England Patriots Blog - ESPN Boston

Since Belichick took over the team in 2000, New England is 19-5 with two weeks’ preparation (including the playoffs).

Another hallmark of Brady’s game is preparation, and since 2009 Brady has been outstanding with an extra week between games.

-- Brady with one week: 22-34, 271 yards, 2.1 TD, 0.7 Int, 13.5 first downs
-- Brady with two weeks: 28-41, 330 yards, 2.6 TD, 0.9 Int, 16.6 first downs

You leave out that the Jets trounced us the third time we played them last season and we actually went LWL, which your analysis ignores.

My write up was following the rematch after the loss. Not the rematch after a win.

Some kid called in Felger and Mazz yesterday and looked back to see how many times we lost to the same team three times in a row, we lost to the Giants in SB 42, this year and this is the third meeting. Its only happened twice to BB and Brady. We lost three consecutive games to Indy and Denver, this is over a multi year period obviously as it takes sometimes 4-5 years to see some teams three times.

Seem to remember hearing the same thing, but would not listen to Felger and Mazz if you paid me.. so someone else reported it. Not that it provides veracity to the first comment... just interesting.

I know that. My point was that the LWL obviates the point you are trying to make.
