Like I said previously, the game will be won and lost up front. If the O-line give Brady time and he is not sacked more than 3 times, they should win.

I think they sacked him twice earlier this year and the pats lost.

I won't sell the giants d-line short --- had jpp in my fantasy league, but I'm actually more concerned about their offense than their defense.
and I think they have a pretty good defense.

still managed to lose 7 games, though.
must be some way to beat them.

I should also add if the Pats have 1 or no turnovers...I do think they have a good defense, but I saw them against GB in the playoffs and they barely had any pressure on AR until the second half . I think the Pats can move the ball against them, and they had a good "practice" game vs. the Ravens.

Its not really about the sacks. A few sacks can be overcome.
The real issue is if there is constant pressure that keeps Brady from having time to throw consistently.
The problem with 42 wasn't the sacks, we could have easily overcome those, but it was the dozen times that Brady was hit while throwing that knocked those balls off target. If he had that split second longer to get an unimpeded throw off, he would have thrown for 400 yards.

The last thing a Patriot fan has to worry about is what Brady will do if he gets protection.
Give him the time to do what he does, and it won't even be close.

All due respect but Tom had very good protection against the Ravens and played a very mediocre game. I do expect a much more precise game from Tom, a BIG BIG game. I love the vibe of this game. I sense the Giants are overconfident and I think the Patriots are winning this one.

Brady put up 23 against one of the best defenses in the NFL. That isn't medicore.

All due respect but Tom had very good protection against the Ravens and played a very mediocre game. I do expect a much more precise game from Tom, a BIG BIG game. I love the vibe of this game. I sense the Giants are overconfident and I think the Patriots are winning this one.

I don't think the Giants are overconfident, but I think the media have been dismissive of the Pats because they got "lucky" that Evans had the ball taken out of his hands. If the Pats won by 20 points over the Ravens, there wouldn't be any doubt. The Pats played a decent game on offense, had 3 turnovers and still won...The Giants needed 2 gifts to even be in this game. However, they were clutch...

Disagree. I think the Giants are very overconfident and believe they have the Patriots number. It's up to the Patriots to play up to their own potential and not be beaten by a brash and overconfident 9 - 7 team.

He took a shot deep and it was tipped for an Int. That happens. That isn't gift wrapping a game. Your idea of brutal apparently is anything shy of perfect.

You don't throw deep into DOUBLE COVERAGE to a part-time WR with 7 minutes left in a close game when you're on your 50 yd line and you've just gotten a backbreaking pick of the Ravens. Brady's throw was a rookie mistake in a critical part of a playoff game which is why it was so shocking.
The Patriots then got the ball back AGAIN and Brady couldn't get 10 yds in 3 downs to put the game away. He left all kinds of doors open for the Ravens to win that game. Brutal!!

But it ain't happenin' ..... I expect Tom to have his best playoff game in years if not his best ever. Just have a really good vibe about this game.

The whole key to stopping the pass rush is the running game. If the Pats can run , which they were unable to do in SB 42, the Giants front seven will have to respect that.

Plus, it will keep Manning off the field, especially in the fourth quarter.

I'm just hoping that they stay balanced. Putting it all on Brady didn't work four years ago, and it won't work Sunday.

What about Gints?

They were trailing by 7 points in 4th Quarter. The QB is getting killed every time he has the ball.

Gints punt and the ball glances the foot of 49ers PUNT receiver and they get the ball at 49er 20 yards.

The games goes over time. Manning is being manhandled again. The PUNTER again drops the ball. Gints get in FG red zone. They score and win. WOW! What a great Gint game?

We have sloppy QB play for 2 interceptions and several missed opportunities. We don't challenge which looked like a catch and get 3 instead of 7. We have an unusual fumble by special teams. In spite of all, we score 23 points and Win. Our "D" prevented a TD in the fumble, prevailed on 4th and 6, made 2 good plays to save the game in the end.

There wasn't double coverage, the receiver was very open, the throw was off target.
Your argument is that BB, BOB and Tom Brady don't know what to do in that situation, but you do?
Watch the play, he was open. If Brady threw to the left hash its a TD.
In any event it is the height of ignorance to say a QB made a bad decision by throwing to primary receiver on the play that is called when he is single covered, running to the post, and has inside leverage.

Actually if he plays like he did against the Raven defense when he put up 23, he will put up 34 vs the Giant defense.

But it ain't happenin' ..... I expect Tom to have his best playoff game in years if not his best ever. Just have a really good vibe about this game.

I do too, but if you can't tell what you are looking at, your confidence scares me.

Yeah. And the main concern should be right up the middle. Brady is the best at sliding around in the pocket, but that's usually when he's getting pressure off the edge. If it's right in his face from the moment the ball is snapped, like in SB42, then it's going to be pretty much the same result as that SB.
