Saints vs 49'ers Game

The 9ers do not have a great offense and they are not doing what got them into the playoffs. The 49ers were the 8th ranked rushing team and the 29th ranked passing team yet they have 8 rushing attempts in the first half. I think that was a tactical error by the 49ers. they should have ran it down the Saints' throats. They cannot win on the arm of Alex Smith.

Harbaugh is trying to be too cute with the game plan and attempting more throws because he figured the Saints prepared for the 70/30 rushing to passing attack. The Saints, to their benefit, appear ready for this and have countered it. The 49ers are only in this game because of their defense right now. If they don't start pounding the rock, and soon, this game could get away from them in the third quarter.

Would be a great game imo.

It would make for a fun game. I still think a Saints/Pats game would be more exciting though.

They are bad on offense. In the red zone this year they have been horrible.

49ers are terrible in the redzone. There's a reason Akers led the league in FG's.

If I'm the 9ers I'm still ver encouraged to hold the Saints to 14.

CORRECTION!!

The 49ers have a great receiving core and a great running back......they just don't have a quarterback capable of taking advantage of it.

Your offense all depends on the QB these days. You could have Moss and Rice at their prime and have a scrub throwing to them and it wouldn't be a good offense.

I like SF's strategy to emphasize the run and clock control.

However, that requires Smith to complete passes on 3rd down against these blitzes. Not sure he can do that.

The niners have passed it more but they are very safe throws and nothing deep really. But kontra's right harbaugh is trying to catch the saints off-guard by throwing more when they usually run way more than they pass.

Sproles needs to keep the ball high and tight. He dropped his arm that time and the ball loosened up which caused the fumble. Niners need a TD here. Can't settle for a field goal.
